If you are a seasoned wrencher then this is not the place for you, Unless you need a specialty tool for a one time job and it would be cheaper to purchase a cheapo Chinese knock off than renting one. The tools here are commonly referred to as disposable tools by knowledgeable tool people. They are cheap and sometimes they can last a long time. but if you want quality tools that will really last you a long time then look elsewhere. Harbor Freight has a lot more than just cheap tools...anything from Sewing, Camping, Trailer, to Garden items.... I do like going here to look at the cheap stuff. You can find some pretty good deals. I keep my jet skiis covered with tarps during the winter....the tarps ( no matter what brand I buy) disintegrate over the time of a season so I purchase tarps from here because they allot cheaper than other tarps so it saves me a few $$. I also have a Harbor Freight mini mill this has worked out very well for me. I did have to do allot of modifications to get it the way I wanted it but all in all it was a great deal!!

Got a folding trailer. The structure is very good. The wheel bearing. Not too good. The electrical is a nightmare. I expect the coating on the wires to disolve in the next rainfall we have. The lights, are pure junk. The bulb spins in the socket. Its not even a socket, it a metal punch frame supporting the bulb that can reach the contacts to light up. The wires were coming lose on the rubber boot for the connector. Then they expect the lights to work with a grounded frame. Except the frame is painted everywhere, so there is no metal on metal contact, so there is no electrical ground on the frame. I just went to Reilys and got what I think are good parts to replace the entire electrical. The folks are the best. The woman manager in Steven Creek was great. And they all work like dogs.

This store is excellent at what it offers - a fairly good selection of bargain priced tools. You will not find American made products here, nor any name brand tools. Some of the items are of questionable quality (dont buy the drill bits). The prices are attractive enough to keep me shopping at Harbor Freight. I bought a 4x8 folding trailer with 12" wheels, including everything to make it DMV-legal, for under $300. Bar clamps that are $25 at other stores are $5 here. They are nice about product returns/exchanges.

Great for cheap tools & supplies!! No name brand products like craftsman or dewalt but for the cost the tools work for the job in need. Not investing tools advised if ur a shop in trade. But for the DIY. And hobbyist or broke no joke Craftsman or Craftswoman. I buy here. My only complaint is theres always something I come for and its out of stock. Think maybe if I change my shopping day to weekday it be available. Coupons u can get online or just join membership And they mail u catalogs And sale events .

Im not sure what to expect. No brand stuff are cheaper than most of the stores. Quality is not great. Some tools broke in 30 min. Water hose had hole. Hose splitter does not shut off completely. Its worth to check out. But Id recommend to buy only something returnable when it has defect. I wondered why very simple items are not up to minimum quality. It seems theres no quality control. Better to check if it works in the store before you buy.

Harbor freight do sell some good stuff, however 80 percent of the stuff are just so so. But anything they sell will not hurt your wallet especially if you need that tool for one time use or something just to have around the house. They should have signs that says limited one free item so people try to argue that they didnt know. Im sure that would cut down on the wait time for the people in line.

Terrific low prices multiplied by adequate quality equals value. I find far more tools and range of tools that in my case cost less than half as much than at the local Home Depot, OSH, Sears, and the specialty tool stores. Most of the tools work adequately, a few fail immediately. Most are priced similarly to the cost of renting the US brand name same function for just one day.

Its a good experience shopping here, with the economy the way it is, Id rather spend my money here and buy tools to do my side jobs with. On jobs that I do as far as mechanics some tools get left behind on the job site or the break due to the quality, however I leave a trail of tools behind but it doesnt matter these are what I consider throw away tools

Harbor Freight is to tools what Frys is to computer/AV. Amazingly cheap prices and deals, but counterbalanced with godawful customer service. I WANT to give places like this more stars. I just cant. Yes, I can and will continue to shop there, but Ill continue to hope that they stop hiring folks rejected as too rude to be BART employees.

What a pile of cheap goods. Reminds me of the Scrapitol Flea market, nothing but one time use made in china junk. At least its hidden from view, the large trees out front make it hard for newbies to see it unless you know its there. No professional would ever buy anything that costs more than $5 from here. Have pride America.

If you keep your expectations low on quality and you just need a single use tool, you will be satisfied. Dont go in here thinking youll get a top notch piece. Thats why I bought a measurement wheel for $10, instead of spending $70 at HD. If I ever need to upgrade to a real sturdy option Ill head to HD or elsewhere.

I bought a drill press that I later decided not longer needed. The box was not even opened. but they told me I need receipt to return it. they dont even give store credit for return. I mean who else sell their branded tools? really bad customer service

Good place to get cheep tools for the average end users..I would not recommend these tools for professional every day use. Also be careful what you buy, sometimes you can find the same tool by a name brand for the same price

Good option for modestly-priced, otherwise no-name hardware from China. I wouldnt expect the highest quality goods, but if youre looking for a particular tool youre not planning on using super often, this is a great stop.

Only get basic tools and equipment here - the prices are great but the quality is not. If you need something important, its probably better to spend a little more and get better quality.

Large selection of cheap hardware tools. If youre looking for a cheap tool that doesnt need to be made to last, this is a great place to shop. Also check for their coupon offers.
