I purchased a new (EARLY 2015) Apple MacBook Pro Retina 13.3 2.7ghz i5 8gb 128gb SSD from a big retailer conglomerate that sports blue and gold. Paid $1,100+ tax, so $1,200 total. That was with a $200 discount at the time. The reason I did this was to replace my wifes stolen 2012 Apple MacBook Pro. Little did I know that her version of software used for work ($5,000) only works well with Windows 7. In 2015 Apple MacBook models, EFI installs are no longer supported. Even though there is definitely a way to install Windows 7, I was having difficulty making that happen. I posted her new 2015 on the local classifieds and started searching for a model made prior to 2015 that would be suitable. I came across an ad listing several MacBooks and knew I was seeing a seller that I could hold accountable for the purchase of clean gear. I called and asked about one or two since there was a long list of MacBooks, but the list left out pertinent specs that most of us want to see in a classified ad. After coming here and speaking with Khuong, I realized they mostly list the details that cant be upgraded. I brought my wifes new 2015 Retina that was no longer returnable to the big business I purchased it from. After taking a look at it and hearing what I wanted, Khuong pulled out a 2012 Apple MacBook 13" Core i5 2.5ghz 8gb 500gb HD. He was asking 845.00 for the Core i5 which has the standard 3month warranty from KT. I requested that he upgrade to 1tb HDD, 16gb ram, and install a native Windows 7 install. I asked for this to be a straight trade for my Retina 2015. He said, "yes." He mentioned the three month warranty that is included and mentioned the 1yr warranty for an additional $60. I told him I would gladly buy the 1Yr warranty for $60. So now, anytime I have an issue with Windows or Mac OS, he is on the hook for the next year. I was given a trade in credit of $1,075 for my used laptop. Its a fair deal for both sides and that is what negotiating is all about. Besides, the Windows 7, the 1tb hard drive, the 16gb ram provides much more purpose for my wife. It was my first visit here and I must say, I am very impressed with the level of customer service and attitude at KT. I really dont see the need to deal with anyone else.

It is not cheap to ship our computers from Michigan to San Jose, but Well Worth It! I sent in my macbook pro with water damage for the flat rate repair advertised below. However, they are charging $240 for the logic board and another $240 for "repair" effort. The ad clearly states that this repair covers the logic board, but they are insisting that the replacement is separate and will cost another $240. Why didnt they do that in the first place? I dont know. Later, they also say that my keyboard must be replaced for another $80. DO NOT SEND IN YOUR MACBOOK WITH WATER DAMAGE!!! THEY WILL SLOWLY ADD UP THE CHARGES ONE WEEK AT A TIME. Words cannot describe how truly amazing KT Electronics is; they are a godsend!!! Ive brought my iPhone and my laptop here for various repairs and they have proved to be the best at what they do, time and time again. Its hard to find a business these days that truly cares about their customers and goes above and beyond to do what they can for you. This one time my iPhone went all wonky one me with all these blurred lines on the screen and I totally freaked out and thought I was going to have to buy a new phone. I brought it to KT Electronics and after careful inspection, they said it was simply a software glitch and that my phone was back to normal and fine. They didnt charge me a dime for the inspection and didnt try to upsell me on getting a new phone. Honest businesses are hard to find these days. On top of being honest, they really know what theyre doing over there. They perform quality work, are efficient at it, and have great customer service. Cheap, knowledgeable, professional, efficient, friendly, fast - what more can you ask for?! These guys are the real deal!

These guys are the best! Over a year ago I accidentally splashed a little water on my 5 month old macbook pro retina and it was toast. I had an accident warranty but Apple doesnt cover water damage. No one had the ability to repair macs and Apple stores wanted $1200 with no guarantee. After searching and searching, literally over a year later I saw where these guys were on Ebay for water damage on Apple products. They were prompt, easy to reach, and the owner was on top of all communication. I am in Georgia and they are in California so it was a leap of faith but I am so glad I sent them my mac. It was a gift from my husband and had lots of family pics that were irreplaceable. KT Electronics fixed it within a week and now it runs like new. I had given up ever using it again, and they saved it for me for less than $200. Thank you thank you Garrett. You guys rock!
