tldr; I bought a $60 pair of earbuds. They broke within 15 minutes. Manager refused to refund and instead loudly argued with me in the store, in front of his customers. Within 15 minutes of purchase, the headphones started stuttering and dropping huge parts of audio via minor compressions in the cable. I came in for a refund, and the manager argued with me for 10 minutes before eventually refusing to refund. He claimed the issue was with my phone, not the headphones. After going home and trying with 3 different earbuds (this has never happened with this phone), I confirmed the issue was with the earbuds. The telling part for me was that they began accusing me *before* even testing to see if it was broken. The order of events is important: The first associate tried the earbuds, wiggled it around in various ways, and said "I cant detect any problems". I had to put one bud in my ear, and one bud in his ear, before he would even acknowledge there was an issue. Then, after he couldnt deny there was an issue, the story changed to "your phone is broke". FFS! There was not even a "sorry you had a negative experience" or even a semblance of caring about the customer.

Theres an entire row of stores on Valencia up near 19th street that are all very good at catering to people who would like to decorate their houses with hip, rad, new stuff. Dijital Fix fits quite nicely into this fray. After going there, I looked it up and saw that they also have a NY prescence. Not bad, they definitely had their stuff together. A lot of the business focuses on sound equipment, but theres a lot to be said about gadgets and art inside as well. Gallery pieces will amuse and entice you while you look around the store. The soundtrack was dope. And when I realized that I could do a bit of research on a wireless sound system for my house, the guy who worked there was EXTREMELY helpful explaining the various options and functions of the system I inquired about, so much so that I was forced to write "extremely" in all caps. The headphones are all testable, theyve got a lot of really neat electronic stuff in there, and all in all, if I ever wanted to start a store that sold rad audio equipment, I couldnt do it better than this place.

This gadget and gift shop is worth visiting if youre exploring Valencia Street. Best of all, they sell Blackwing pencils individually, and not only by the box. These pencils have a cult following, and normally are about $25 for 12. Kind of a big risk to take for trying out a new pencil. However, at $2.50 each theyre worth checking out. Ive never seen them sold individually elsewhere. I wish they also sold the Blackwing pencil sharpener. Lots of quirky electronic gadgets too. Plus clothing, bags, and random cool stuff. Check it out.

Love this place. Bought my first Teenage Engineering here, the OP-1. They have a great selection of musical toys, gadgets, headphones, speakers and Sonos (which are super expensive everywhere but you can try them out and listen to them here). They also have a nice variety of analog goods ranging from repurposed TV face mirrors to upside down planters.

Cool store but I couldnt get anyone to help me. They were busy selling a turntable to a woman so I couldnt get the headphones I wanted. I waited 15 minutes at the counter and the sales guy just ignored me. I guess I wasnt hipster enough to be helped.

Analogue and audio fans, this is the shop for you - record players, speakers and cameras are displayed like works of art (which they are). Some gorgeous prints adorn the walls, all for sale too. Look out for the $1.50 photo booth on the way in too.

Ive never been to this store, but just reading the response by the owner to another review makes me never want to step foot in this store. Just look it up...defines the word arrogant.
