Creations Dessert House should really just be renamed to Creations House of Diabetes. I think the product development process goes something like this: "Hmm... so we have mangoes and sugar and more mangoes and more sugar. Lets see how many different dishes we can come up with those two ingredients!" Now, Im not saying Creations tastes bad; on the contrary, each bite can send a sugar rush of euphoria that can bring back memories of your 6-year-old self downing Pixie Stix and Ravens Revenge sugar tubes. But as an adult, its just way too much. Theres very little ingenuity here -- just overly sweetened fruits and strangely prepared "ice cream". Try the sesame "ice cream" and youll see what I mean -- it tastes more like sesame paste rather than resembling anything similar to ice cream. They have some Chinese delicacies like snow frog and birds nest, which definitely sets it apart from other Chinese dessert joints. But the main star of the show here is the mango, and its just a little too much focus on how sweet it can be, rather than having any creativity that the name of the store implies.

Im not sure why but the service is really slow. Like glacially slow. If you want a taste of Hong Kong desserts I recommend trying another location. If you absolutely positively really want to try this place, be prepared to wait nearly an eternity to get your food after they take your order. If you decide that you want to lounge around with your friends while waiting for HK snacks, I recommend trying to Mango Sago with Glutinous Rice Balls. It has fresh slices of mango, the obvious glutinous rice balls and sago, and a heaping scoop of mango ice cream all in mango sauce. The three times I have been here, it was fairly empty. It was only occupied by me and 4 other friends. However, drinks and food took nearly 15 minutes to make an appearance on the grand stage of our table.

This place offers a good fix for fobby desserts. The mangoes are usually pretty fresh, ripe, sweet, and soft. It goes well with their smooth sago. Compared with Golden Island, Creations sago has a better texture and isnt as icy. This milk tea is ok also. Theres definitely a large quantity of condensed milk in it, making it rich and full bodied but overly sweet. It starts off pretty smooth, but then the finish is overwhelmed by sweetness. I do love condensed milk. Ive literally eaten spoonfuls of it straight out of the can before, but it has to be added judiciously to make a balanced milk tea (or none at all if youre an HK milk tea purist).

One of the better Asian dessert places in San Francisco. I docked a star because the people who work here can never get my order right! Im kind of particular when it comes to my coconut sago. I dont like having fresh fruit mixed in. For some reason the fact that someone wouldnt want fruit in their coconut sago boggles their minds! For those who do like fruit with their coconut sago, get it with mango! Oh, and always get your sago with glutinous rice balls! It really adds a delightful chewy texture! Im not sure if its house made or not, but their mango mochi is also surprisingly delicious.

The desert was definitely good but I cant say I would recommend this place to my friends. This of course is based on what I got which was the mango Mochi and fried dumplings. The dumplings were as good as youd imagine for the price (3 for 2.75) but the mango Mochi didnt quite do it for me. I guess I should go back and order the glutinous rice balls because everyone else says thats the thing to get. Overall the service and vibe of the space was sort of dull.

My parents wanted to come here because they watched Anthony Bourdain at the original location in Hong Kong. We ordered the glutinous rice balls with mixed fruit in mango juice and mango pudding. The fruit is really fresh. Ive been to some places where it tastes like the fruit came out of a can.. Definitely not this place. I really liked the glutinous rice balls, which is what theyre known for. If youre a mango fan, you wont be disappointed here.

This Hong Kong-style Tea House is a great place to go for snacks and drinks just about any time of day. I really enjoyed their desserts - not too sweet! Creations is on several delivery sites, so you can have them come to you. When you visit, bring change or download the pay-by-phone app for your phone... parking can be tricky on side streets.

This place has a wide variety of food and desserts. It is a popular place for students and young adults to hang out and chat. There food is decent and for the price its worth, and so are the desserts. This place actually exists all over China and it pretty much tastes the same which is why I come here a lot because it is really good :)

Same fruit-dessert dishes, same watered-down tea, and same spotty table service. But these are all the things you should expect from any Asian dessert house in the Richmond. This place is good for a late-night hangout with friends if youre not into the bar scene.

Came here randomly one night to meet up with a friend. They served complimentary tea and the service was very quick. However, its just your typical HK dessert serving mixed fruits and milk tea with a few toppings. If you hate waiting, try coming before 10pm.

This has very good Asian deserts, they are really good and they have a different varieties, and they are all on the menu. It is great customer service because they attend you right away and also the waiting isnt too long and the place looks decent to be in.

You can never go wrong with #51, the mango and sago dessert drink. This place is pretty mango themed. They even serve you mango tea to go with your meal. The food is okay if you just want some quick snacks, but their drinks are what make them so creative.

A good variety of desserts. Nothing amazingly tasty, but a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. A few months ago this was cash-only, but I cant confirm if theyve gotten with the times since then.

Okay place with sit in option and lots of mango themed foods plus drinks. Try the mango mochi and one of their drink choices for a good experience.

One stop shop for good HK style desserts and drinks. Wait time to be seated can be long depending on the day and night it is. Also cash only.

Service is okay. Desserts are delicious and its difficult to get these mango and coconut desserts downtown. The trek out west is worth it.
