How can something so gratifying be so healthy?! Soy free, gluten free, and dairy free ice cream is the way to be!! While taking a stroll around the neighborhood me and a friend came across Mr. Dewies and walked in to see what was happening, cashew ice cream was happening. Andrew, one of the founders, was quick in giving us the scoop on their ice cream and flavors. They use sustainable practices which is a big plus; their sample spoons are reusable and their serving bowls are compostable. For a junior scoop (kids scoop) and a double scoop ($5.50) came out to a total of $8. I had a scoop of their caramel almond crunch and chocolate orange chip. I would have never thought of this ice cream was cashew based because it resembles regular ice cream. It did melt faster than expected. Other than that there is nothing really to point out. Mr. Dewies is a great addition to Solano Ave. NOTE: Street parking

I really wanted to give Mr. Dewies a 5-star review, because everything about my in-store experience was awesome! Great flavors (especially strawberry!), great assistance, etc., but there was just something a tiny bit off about the pint I took home of the caramel almond crunch that left my stomach a bit uneasy. In the store I was (and still am!) fine eating it and every other flavor, but the two times I tried it at home, it gave me an upset stomach. I still go to the store and get the fresh stuff because its amazing, and I would and do recommend that all my friends do the same, but it would take a lot to get me to try another take-home pint.

A good change from dairy based ice cream place to grab dessert after a meal. The texture is a bit different at first but after a few bites you get used to it and start to enjoy its rich texture and flavors they have. I would recommend trying it out as the people working there are friendly and definitely good for those with dairy allergies or intolerance. Im hoping theyll have more flavors or rotate different ones to switch it up.

We are new to NorCal I have been eyeing this place since we first arrived. I was too excited to try their treats but reluctant to make the 45 min drive. I tried about 5 flavors. This is literally the dairy free ice cream of my dreams. Will definitely be coming back. The only reason I gave 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that the waffle cone contains butter and therefore not dairy free.

One of a kind vegan ice cream. Congrats for such a special place. Tastes as good or better than real ice cream. Loved the caramel flavor. A bit pricey out of necessity but otherwise worth a long drive , especially for vegan fans - or anyone for that matter. Check out a good old movie across the street before or after your Dewies Cream!

Dont knock it until you try it..... Im extremely picky and go for the full fat full cream ice cream and absolutely love Dewies Cashew Creamery. The staff is friendly, the flavor choices are great for any discriminating palate. A definite must try!!!

Friendly staff and great selection of flavors, including the standard chocolate, mint chip, as well as coconut and turmeric. Any of them go great on their delicious, unique buckwheat waffle cones. Smooth and creamy without the lactose. Yum!

Went in initially to sample (the staff was very gracious) and ended up sharing a three scoop bowl with my husband! Creamy and delicious you barely miss the dairy! My favorite flavors were the chocolate chip and chocolate and orange.

Its a really cool shop. The ice cream is really expensive and just ok. After a while the taste of cashews overwhelms the ice cream flavor. I dont think I would get ice cream here again.
