I LOVE THIS PLACE. After a dinner with friends we were craving something sweet and one of my friends suggested this place which was new. I was totally willing to make the 20 minutes drive because it just sounded so good! Its right on the beach and parking is very prevalent so its easy to find a spot in the lot next door or on the street. We walked to the door and no surprise there was a line. but Good thing because it took me another 10 minutes to decide what exactly i wanted to order. I finally decided on their special of one side brownie and another cookie. but which cookie and ice cream then became the problem! Luckily the service is amazing here! I told the guy what i wanted and said whats your favorite cookie. without hesitation he picked up the chocolate chip which i was leaning towards anyways. then i said i was between chocolate chip cookie dough and rocky road ice cream. Afraid that the rocky road was going to be too chocolaty i was hesitant but he confidently read my mind to choose it anyways and after i paid i took my first bite. OH GOODNESS. heaven just enveloped around me and I was just in peace after my dinner. The brownie had the perfect consistency and chocolate fudge taste, the rocky road was not too much chocolate whatsoever and everything just magically came together. my friends got half waffle and half cookie but im always going for the brownie from now on. but hay why not just try them all! I will definitely be back! Happy Desserting!

I LOVE The Baked Bear, and this one is bigger than the one in San Diego! Its a dessert place that focuses on ice cream, toppings, and things like donuts and cookies to custom make your own ice cream sandwiches or similar in bowls. They also have a cookie of the month that I have yet to be disappointed by, and the cookies are fresh, and you can buy boxes of day old or individual fresh ones to take home. My favorite dessert there is a Bear Bowl with brownie (the bottom of the disposable bowl has brownies or cookies, warm) with a scoop of Bear Batter (its blue with some brownie chunks and other stuff) and some hot caramel and fudge drizzled on top. They do have many other toppings you can put in a bowl or have you ice cream sandwich rolled through. If you want a nice, cool treat, check them out! Its so good!

My first exerience with The Baked Bear was at a Padres game. They had a cart at the Park Blvd Gate side. After having a beer and Tacos for taco Tuesday, it was dessert time. There was a little line but it went really fast. I chose to do a custom sandwich with two different cookies and ice cream in the center. I picked Birthday Cake and Snickerdoodle as my cookies and put Strawberry shortcake right in the middle. IT WAS AWESOME! The cookies were like just under baked so they were really soft and hugged the ice creame in the middle. Thats the best kind of ice cream sandwich. The service was fast and kind. They were energic and just happy to be sharing their product with the public. Great little company to support and watch grow.

A lot of people seem to love The Baked Bear, there is almost always a line out the door. "Custom ice cream sandwiches" is a unique idea, which is probably why they are so popular, however it suck that there is always a line out the door. Honestly, they might want to look at increasing their prices. If you like ice cream and cookies/brownies you have to check this place out, however the cookies always seem too hard, therefore making it difficult to eat with a spoon. You can ask them to warm it up, but they dont warm it up enough, itd be nice if they warmed up the cookies separately, and then added the ice cream. Your best option is to just use your hands and get super messy.

This place is the best bet if youre looking for an ice cream sandwich. Period. They had a special the day I went that was one cookie, one brownie and ice cream for $3.50 I think. I went with my favorite (Chocolate Chip), but there were many to choose from. I also opted for just plain vanilla ice cream, cause thats how I roll. The cookie tasted great and was nice and soft. The brownie was pretty bomb too. I definitely recommend eating it with a spoon vs. eating with your hands. The cookie is to soft and moist to hold. All in all, I recommend it if youre in P.B. and have a sweet tooth.

OK, Im not an ice cream sandwich kind of person. I went to my nieces birthday this weekend and was a little disappointed that they werent having cake but instead were having ice cream sandwiches from a place called The Baked Bear. I split one with my sister and in first bite I realized how wrong I was. The cookies were perfectly chewy and the ice cream was rich and delicious. Unfortunately, as I tend to be with ice cream, I couldnt even eat my whole half but that wasnt the bears fault! Truly lovely iced cream sandwiches. I would definitely seek them out in the future.

Tasty and a perfect addition to PB. Prior my only options to grab something sweet around here was yogurtland and the tiny ice cream shop on the boardwalk which was charging an insane amount for something sweet and simple. Baked bear has the flavor of homecooked cookies and when paired with ice cream theres no wonder why they have a line out the door. It was tasty and again loved that they are around but i can make the same thing at home. So even if my experience was good idk if ill return again unless its completely hot int he area and i just want something fast.

Great novelty they have but dont see the draw beyond that. Ice cream scoops are small but cookies (and brownies) are fresh. Service was friendly, just not especially fast. Personalisation was the cause of the delay but also the draw to come. When you walk in, you get a choice from a half dozen cookie flavors or a brownie. Next you get a pick from any of 10 flavors of ice cream. The staff then builds the cookie sandwich, sundae or other ice cream choice. Traditional cones are also available.

If I had to choose from any ice cream place, I definitely would choose here. I had a great experience at The Baked Bear! They were very helpful and you can see them make your sandwich fresh behind the counter. I personally would recommend their brownie + ice cream + chocolate chip cookie sandwich. The first thing we decided to do after visiting the beautiful nearby beaches and pier was to try The Baked Bears delicious ice cream sandwiches, and we all enjoyed it! And I think you will too!

Not the best ice cream place Ive been to but my kids liked it. You create your own nice cream sandwich. The cookies are just ok for me because they are under cooked. If you like more of a cookie dough then youll like these. The brownies were really good and the waffle was just ok. Over all it is a different place for ice cream and you can create your own ice cream sandwich..... which is nice. I just think the cookies could be better. There is great shopping right next door too!
