I feel like this is a pretty decent hair store. I get braiding hair and it is a little more expensive than other places Ive been, but not enough for me to go somewhere else. The people that work here are always polite to me, they give you a military discount as long as you have your ID or are in uniform. Theyve been out of the color I wanted maybe once or twice, but Im not really sure how long they were out of it because I just got a different color. They have a big selection when it comes to like grease and gel. I cant really speak on anything else because I usually only buy braiding hair, grease... And gel. Lol, but its overall a good place.

This store/chain will NOT allow you to exchange a wrong item without a receipt. I purchased weave hair and changed my mind on the style a few days later. I could not find my receipt. I even searched through the dumpster! I go there on a regular basis and the sales rep could have vouched that I purchased it from her but NO! I even asked if I could bring in my bank statement to prove I purchased it and he said no. Oh, by the way, their prices increase about $2-4 every 2-4 mos. since they opened in San Diego. Hair I used to purchase for $24.99 is now more than $45 a pack!

Beauty Supply Warehouse is one of those places that makes San Diego worth it. Shopping here is an experience, not an errand. The selection is world class. Kotaro curates his store with merchandise at all price levels, but nothing you buy there feels cheap. He also delivers personalized service with a polite, peaceful and generous flair that represents the best of Japanese culture. Highly recommended for tourists and locals alike, and theres plenty of non-incense items like pottery and lotions if you arent into incense.

Help was ok could have walked me to what i need not just said lane 2 .sense i wasnt sure what i was looking for in the way of what it was called just what needed it to do found it anyways (they where busy all give them that )prices good .but would have got a lot more stuff if they had the prices on everything like the %off hair if you dont know the reg. Price you cant tell what --% off is and dont want to walk to front every minute to check so had to cut my shopping visit story.

Have a variety of products. However, the staff should be knowledgeable about the products they are selling. Know the difference between effective affordable products and ineffective expensive products. Even the managers had limited knowledge of products. And make sure you check your items before you buy them, a lot of the products are not being rotated and taken off the shelf when they expire. Bad products can damage the hair.

I have been coming here for years, I dont know why I keep coming back. NOTHING is ever restocked..they are always out of everything, like at months at a time. I dont think it takes a months for shipment to come in..thats always there answer. That and the customer service is not as good as it used to be. Do yourself a favor go to Sallys or another beauty supply store.

Called to ask for a product. And the person on the line told me to Wait!! Talk to someone else... Really?? Unbelievable!! No customer service!! I was willing to make a trip if they have the product. But I couldnt even communicate with the people running the place.

The people in this store are very rude and do not have much knowledge about the products they are selling. They have false advertisement about their returns policy posted at the registers. I will never ever shop at this store again after what I experienced today.

I love their website- its very fun and quite easy to use and navigate compared to other beauty supply store sites Ive seen. They dont carry exactly what I was looking for, but I know if I ever need hair/skin care I can easily find it there.
