Went in shortly before closing (walked from downtown San Anselmo) found contact solution and could not find a case sold seperately, when I got to the register I simply asked if there were any cases sold separately in the store as politely as I could. The lady at register 2 (August 28 2015) replied disrespectfly and said she wasnt sure but most likely did not have them. She recommended I go to CVS a couple doors down which was closed. When I asked if o could run back to the aisle and double check she very angrily yelled at me that if I left the line I would not even be allowed to make my purchase of contact solution. She was extremely disrespectful and even a little racist in my opinion. Im sure if I was not a person of Latino decent she would have been more friendly. Thankfully the store manager came in and helped resolve the situation but staff needs change badly. I didnt even catch her name and very glad I didnt. We all have jobs and many of us work very late but theres no reason to be disrespectful to that level nor is it necessary to look down upon on people of color. Felt very unwelcomed and strongly believe changes need to be made to closing staff.

The San anselmo Safeway is good when it comes to selling their produce. But as far as their delly department goes. I am very disappointed and disgusted by the way the manage it. This is the 5th time I came in for their hot foods and sandwiches and their hot food are old or the same ones from the morning. For all I know its yesterdays hot foods. Chicken is dry and hard in some parts. Other times some of their hot foods are burnt. Today I got a Cesar salad and it was old some of their lettuce was brown. I went to order a sandwich and almost every condiment was old. Lettuce was orange in some parts. Nothing looked good. And to top it off the deli man did not know how to make a roast beef sandwich at all. He just kind of slapped everything together. Be forgot to cut it in half. Just horrible and sloppy mess. The person who helped me get my meal was the girl from the Starbucks section. This is just sad because I was once in employee at this location and was working in Starbucks and just like that girl I had to help the deli and the deli was the same dirty no fresh anything. Some things just never change. Get it together Safeway employees and employers.

This safeway is always a big fat disappointment....and a constant reminder why I need to stick to Sprouts Market. Poor flowers are packaged in a way that you cant tell they are half dead or the petals are ready to fall off , and grouchy people working the slow lines. Today I found a wallet...pretty stuffed with cards and who knows what else. I give it to the cashier....and he acts like Ive inconvenienced him! The whole time he was ringing me up he looked like I shoved poop in his face. Not a good look people....not a good look at all. Great reminder why I should shop where customers are appreciated and everything is fresh

This is our neighborhood Safeway. unfortunately, it has the Worst staffing and scheduling Ive ever experienced. Arriving anytime after 3pm expect only one or two checkers and long wait times at both the human and self check. Had an item not scan correctly in self checkout and with no one else in line the attend chose to continue a personal conversation rather than help. " Ill be with you in a minute" she said as she continued her personal discussion.

I like this Safeway much better than the B St. Location. People here are nice, the shelves are usually fully stocked, produce doesnt run of the basics, and the whole vibe of the store seems more positive and less desperate. Also, I get to pass by Kitty Corner when I come to this Safeway!

Wow. What an establishment. I love the kind, loving, caring, curious, adventorus, and sexy people who work here. Gary and Nathan are two beautiful boys! Best sandwiches in all of Costa Rica, made by Gary, of course. Gods eyes watch over this amazing team of hard workers. Wow. Wow. Wow.

I know its a deli in a grocery store so I shouldnt expect much, but the service is slow at best. They have a fossil of a man making all of the sandwiches, surely they could move him to a more appropriate role and have someone younger and faster making sandwiches.

They constantly change selections so if you become loyal to something they discontinue offering it. They dont have enough cashiers to handle the volume so they wear out there very hard working people.

Pick the cashier with the swastika or the other guy; no matter how many customers are in the store there will only ever be 2 cashiers on duty. Prepare to wait.
