This is a review for philz in general. Ive only been to 2 locations but my experience was very much the same. It might be overwhelming to order for the first time, as coffees here have Their own names, but Their coffee experts are very knowledgeable and willing to help you find your perfect cup! I always get the Jacobs wonderbar. Best coffee Ive had in the US! I loved the flavor ~ with hints of dark chocolate, smoke, and nuts (not smoke from cigars, the meaty smoke Id assume, but actually didnt taste it so much). Ive also tried the tesora (with caramel nuts and butter hints) but still prefer Jacobs and continue to order this one. They have some real special coffees but Im conservative so will probably stick to my own, if you want something different, how about trying the mint bonito iced coffee? Looks very Pretty!

My husband and son love this place. Theyre huge coffee enthusiasts so if they say its good, its good. They will go out of their way to get coffee at this particular location. I have only had the tea here, but can tell you that it is awesome! Very flavorful and fresh tasting, not weak. Philz is in a busy location and parking can be a little tricky sometimes, but its a great atmosphere to sit and sip a cup of coffee before you head off to the nearby theater or just to do some shopping. Its pretty roomy inside, clean, and has a friendly staff. There are two or three tables outside, as well. Overall, a great place to hang out while youre enjoying a really good cup of coffee.

So I was in line at Starbucks and decided to google "coffee" to see what else popped up, as to avoid drinking my go to coffee and try something new. This place was highly recommended (google reviews) and a short walk. I made my way in and decided to ask the girl behind me in line what she recommended, "The Mint Mojito Iced Coffee" is what she said without hesitation. I was already eye balling that one so it was an easy decision at that point. She was spot on. This is one of the best coffees I have ever had. They even ask you to try it before you buy it to ensure it is what you want. Love this place and now I want them to open one in Atlanta.

Dont get some of the reviews saying the beanz arent that dope. I took home some "Tesora" and used it for a normal (for me) sugary hazelcream french pressed. A low sugar week of it in the Bulletproof-fashion w/MCT-oil & grassfed butter and really enjoyed it. The "Silken Splendor" is heavenly and anyone who doesnt concur can suck a bag of dominican grounds! Really.. with many joints seemingly pushing beans from elsewhere/Seattle, Im fond of our home team in Philz. Yay Areeeeya Reprezzint! Thnx for the caffeine boogerz!!

Great if you like sugary drinks - not if youre a lover of good coffee. Am I the only one who thinks coffee tastes bad here? Or is everyone in the Bay all about the cream and sugar, and not about the actual bean? I like the atmosphere and baked goods of this place, staff is nice, but there is NO espresso machine so FORGET getting a latte. $5 drip coffee (that tastes terrible on its own) and flavoring is all you get.

Its Philz! What more can be said (wonderful and friendly baristas, great convenient RC downtown location - walking distance to the Century 20 Movie Theater, best coffee in the Bay Area.) Got our Philz fix (and bought a pound of Tesora coffee beans which they happily asked how we wanted it to be grind) before walking over to seeing the first showing of Star Wars today.

A cozy place to hangout and/or work! Its also conveniently located right in the heart of downtown Redwood City. The coffee tasted a little over extracted and the Mint Mohito isnt as great as the ones Ive had in the San Francisco and Palo Alto locations—but it wasnt bad. Just be sure to taste it beforehand and check with your barista for any desired adjustments.

I love this place! A great selection of delicious coffee, helpful staff, good service times, nice ambiance, and a variety of options on their menu. Not a super great place to pop in and quick grab coffee as every cup is individually brewed, but you can order ahead! I like my coffee black, but their cream is magical.

Philz coffee has changed my coffee drinking experience!!! The many fresh flavors to choose from make coffee here far from your average cup. The staff here at Philz are fast , friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend seeing for your self. Step away from the average cup and taste the difference. Thank you Philz!!!!

The coffee here is fantastic, easily beats any of the chain coffee places with the attention to detail of an artisan coffee shop. Pricing is extremely fair as well. My only gripe is with the ordering system, it takes some getting used to.

Pretty good coffee place. I go here quite often, one of the four coffee shops that was part of my morning rotation. Ive only tried their mint drinks. A friend recommended me the mint mojito iced coffee and I just kind of stuck to that.

Great place to have a business meeting and grab a cup of coffee! The only downside is that you are paying almost $5 for a cup of coffee, not even a specialty drink! The Mint Mojito coffee is the best on the menu in my opinion!

This place one of the biggest Philz Ive ever been too. Of course the employees are super helpful and friendly. Theyll even let you try your coffee and make adjustments to it to make sure its just the way you want it. :)

Typical Philz atmosphere, but in a compact setting makes for a generally crowded venue. The coffee is excellent, the baristas are welcoming, and you might even have a conversation with a stranger.
