Ran into this wonderful shop during my visit to the Half Moon Bay beach. I was attracted by the name since it is an Indian name and I am from India. Finding a indian tea shop on a breezy day by the beach? Impossible, aint it? But Raman made it possible with his wonderful blends of tea. The one you dont want to miss (especially if you are from India) is the "Real Chai". As the name suggests, it is the real (desi) chai that Raman prepares himself with the necessary spices and masala. The Real Chai should make your day, any day! Besides the chai, I was also admired by the paintings of Lord Anjaneya, Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, the symbol "Om" which truly depict the Indian culture, something which I dont find in a lot of Indian restaurants out there in the Bay area in particular or the US in general.

The shop had a mystic feel. I was looking around cafe for sometime just to have a look of every interesting thing placed and painted on wall. We ordered chai which was marked as "Asli bhartiya chai" on menu board. Unfortunately it could not meet my high expectation of "asli bhartiya chai". But I would return to ramans to try out different item from menu.

The chai. Great place, great atmosphere. Come for the chai. Dont ask for non - fat milk. Dont ask what brand of mix is being used. Dont ask for less sweetener. This is from scratch, made the way it should be. Take a sip of the deliciousness, and feel it melt the ice off of your soul.

Came here for a hot chai in a chill windy day. Chai actually means tea in Indian so chai tea would be "tea" tea. The boss here was really characteristic and friendly. I really enjoyed it.
