If I could leave 6 stars, I would! My husband and I have been coming to this store for years, well, mostly my husband. For Christmas, I decided to get him a bike rack that goes in the back of our car. Really, it was selfish because I am tired of his bike taking up the trunk and the back seats. That way we could mount the bike on the rack, and still have room for, say, my stuff! Long story short part of the gift was that I was going to mount the bike rack onto the trailer hitch myself. I started the process but couldnt finish it because I didnt have proper tools. I called Incycle, asking if I could bring it by for them to help me with one small step of the installation. The hex key that I had was bad and I didnt want to strip any of the screws. Tyler answered the call and was very polite and helpful. I am glad I drove over because this ended up being a more involved process. For the past 45 minutes Tyler has been shaving the paint off of the bike rack portion that slides into the trailer hitch receiver and filing down the trailer hitch receiver itself so that the two fit snugly. I dont remember the last time somebody was this nice and helpful, considering I unwillingly signed them up for a very annoying and lengthy process! I cannot wait to tell my husband how awesome his beloved bike shop is (he already knows). Needless to stay, we will stay loyal to this store and come back here again for other bike related purchases! Thank you, Incycle! Thank you, Tyler – you are the best!

My husband needed some general repair on his bike and normally goes to Incycle since its close to his work. Unfortunately, we had a really bad interaction with this shop and will no longer visit. Its a very nice storefront (positive). My husband went in to get some general care and repair. The quote was $400, but originally started at $75 two days before (and also..the repair was told it would be done the day he first came in...and then they kept the bike for two days). This was rather extreme and inconvenient (my husband didnt expect to have his bike away for two days of inspection). We ended up going to another local bike shop (not as big or flashy). The repair ended up taking half a day and cost $20. My husband also told me they were trying to persuade him to buy a new bike while explaining to him what kind of repair was needed (which also wasnt clear). Hopefully, this was just a one-time thing and not regular customer-care. We hope other patrons have experienced better.

Horrible Experience! Went there this Saturday and Sunday looking for a carbon hardtail. A representative named Jacob helped me and at first seemed to do a good job. He told me about a sale and went to find a bike that meet the criteria. He came out from the back with what he said was on sale and claimed he verified the bike. I wanted to think about it overnight so I told him I would be back Sunday to purchase. Sunday I came back to test ride the bike and purchase. Long story short when we got to the counter Jacob raised the price by $600.00 and told me he made a mistake. I told him that he said he double checked to make sure we were looking at the right bike and he assured me we were. Two days wasted and no bike, I went to a competitor and made a purchase as they were up front and honest about the prices. I would not recommend this store to anyone unless you want the used car experience.

This is the best high end bicycle shop in the West Pasadena/Eagle Rock/Montrose area. Great selection of accessories - for example, most shops have very few or no tubeless tires, Incycle has a wide range of them. Ditto for tools. And they have a nice selection of higher end clothing. In a wide range of sizes. They also have a fairly large "sale" rack - mostly clothing - so you might check if youre so disposed. Or if your an unusual size (not many Xs or XLs on the sale rack, though I did get one recently., I HIGHLY recommend the service. I take only hard problems to them as Ive been working on my road bikes for ages. DI2 wont charge? Cant get the new tubeless mounted? Want your derailleurs adjusted? They do it WELL. I dont have any knowledge about buying bicycles there - not a ding, I just happened to be in Portland last time I wanted to buy a bike.

Ive usually made my bike purchases at other stores in Pasadena and taken parts to places like the Bike Oven to fix myself. Recently the shifter cables on my road bike snapped with the casing and a friend recommended i take it to Incycle. I was curious so I did, had to leave the bike overnight, but when I picked it up the next day I was pleasantly surprised that not only had they replaced the casing/cables which tuned up the gear shifting greatly, they had placed those little caps that go on the end of the handle bars (mine had been missing for about a year, retaped (with my existing tape) the crappy ghetto tape job I previously had, and the bike just felt like it had been TUNED up and felt WAY better to ride for just $15. Dont know if this is their usual service, but Im only going to Incycle from now on.

Its a great bike shop, with great people, in a great location off Central Park in Old Town. They have a fully staffed maintenance and repair facility in the store. Big selection of high quality trail and mountain bikes, plus road bikes and the Tour de France variety. Good selection of accessories. They have super showroom models you can check out up close, and sneak a peek at the pricetag ($9,999) DAMN!! Hey, I would get it. Thats how much I like biking. Its a business geared toward bonafide enthusiasts, but the uninitiated need not feel intimidated. If youre after quality in a bad-ass head-turning eros/sportif kind of flavor, and, youve recently won the lottery...(ha ha). Hey, you want that calibre of bike, you gonna pay. Most are under $5,000.

Avoid this place. Went in with broken cassette and broken spokes and a wanting a new chain. After many 10s of minutes, they found some spokes, put one on my wheel, then took it off. Why ? WIth the cassette however, I did a fit test in the shop, asked out loud why it was not turning, then discovered it was a 10 sp cassette. Cost would have been ~ $100. Then they told me they dont make 9sp 11x23. Wrong--check Nashbar Catalog. 3 spokes however cost me > $6 and 45 minutes of my time with at least 4 people asking if they could help me. These are riders, not mechanics that work here. I go to Steves shop ( you know which one ), 3 minutes Im in and out with exactly what I need for $30. Never again.

This review is for their service department only. I went in to have them look at my rear derailleur because I was having shifting issues. They tell me the hanger is bent and that they can bend it back but they will charge me $15. After waiting around for 10 or 15 minutes the guy comes out and says its done. I tried shifting the bike again and I was still having the same shifting issues and they couldnt give me an explanation as to why. But yet they had no issue taking my money. A few days later I went to another shop and they tell me the hanger is still bent. Its annoying that they charge me $$ and dont even fix the problem.
