The furniture selection is pretty limited, the prices are over twice the retail value, and their delivery/pickups are never on time. Think thats bad? It gets worse. Were real estate investors that occasionally stage our open houses with rented furniture. We dont mind paying $50-$100 dollars per week when we only plan on keeping everything for less than two months. After we sold our house, I called to schedule a pickup. I asked if we pay for the whole week when its gets picked up or if its prorated. The sales rep in the store put me on hold to ask the manager and then returned to tell me that if the items are picked up on Monday, Id only pay until monday. Great. Scheduled the picked for Monday. Then the rep thanks me for calling Rent-a-Center and puts the phone down. He didnt hang it up for some reason. I could still hear him talking with the manager. The manager tells the employee in these words, "He doesnt know how much each day costs for the rental. Well go ahead and get the furniture on Monday, but lets bill him for the rental until Tuesday." No joke. In one sentence, this manager admitted that he knew it was wrong and still instructed his employee to overcharge the customer. I immediately called the corporate office and spoke to someone in human resources. The lady on the phone was helpful and created a "ticket" for my issue. She said that the regional manager would be calling me within 48 hours. He didnt. By that point, the charge was already on my credit card and I was, in fact, billed until Tuesday. The fact that I told corporate this would happen days before the transaction hit proves that this was no accident. I called the corporate office again 4 days later and she got the regional manager on the phone with me. He was very apathetic about my situation. He said that people make mistakes and he wanted to take care of it. "Your $69.50 per week rental comes out to about $10 per day. Ill make sure we take $10 off of your bill." I asked him if he had any plans to address this with the store manager to make sure that other customers arent taken advantage of. He said he would. The store missed the pickup time on Monday due to two employees calling out sick, so they rescheduled me for Wednesday. I live about 40 minutes away from the investment property, so that was very inconvenient for me to wait all day for nothing. When they finally came on Wednesday, the delivery guy handed me a $10 bill and said that the manager wanted to make sure we got that. The cash seemed like a very off-the-record way to shut me up and it was pretty insulting. I didnt care so much about the $10; I didnt like that management was intentionally ripping off employees and I dont think thats going to change any time soon.

I have purchased many things from here, although it was very rocky in the beginning they hire and fire employees left and right and they made several mistakes on my account but towards the end they fix the mistakes and are very flexible I recommend if youre looking for home items and you cannot purchase them all at one time they have good payments and good deals as long as you follow through great place. Always try to pay off in the first 90 days because after that youre going to be paying about three times what the item is actually worth.

I can never get a hold of them... they say theyll drop my stuff off by 4pm Fri. And I get no call no show. Its now Monday and I guess they dont know how to answer a phone but they sure do know how to call when your a day late on a payment but if theyd answer the phone Id have payed on time. Never will I get anything from this store again. Once my stuff is payed off theyll never get a penny from me again.
