If there is such a thing as an "adult Disneyland," this is it! From the moment you enter their parking lot to entering their massive 120,000 sq. ft. store, you will be overwhelmed at the "myriad of sporting supplies this place has to offer!" This store is truly a sportsmans paradise, at least it is for me! The hardest part of entering this place is maintaining restraint at not buying half the store on your way out! With daily sales on selected merchandise, its sometimes hard not to walk out with a handful of goodies! Of course the "downside is explaining your uncontrollable urge to purchase half the store to your significant other!" The outdoor is well festooned with outdoor decorations to include a deer made from real antlers to ATVs and of course sporting boats. There is also a small stream and fish pond. Standing in front of this building appears gigantic but the real surprise is when you make your entrance into the atrium, which is decorated to look like the inside of an "old time cabin" but on steroids!" The first thing you will notice when you enter the lobby is a standing "Redwood Tree," which of course isnt real but nonetheless awesome to see. There is also an enormous fireplace and the walls plastered with stuffed animals of all species! To enter the store, if thats what you want to call it, you have to walk through the tree which has been carved out. This huge warehouse covers two stories and access can be obtained via the elevator or walking up the stairs next to the aquarium. If you choose to walk up, you will be walking under a waterfall under the watchful eyes of a black bear and other animals nearby. All stores have an indoor water feature that showcase fish species that are indigenous to the area. The fish in their tanks are game fish of great size. In some of these aquariums, professional anglers and store pro-staff hold demonstrations showing the variety of artificial baits used in catching these fish. They catch the fish in these tanks to show how well the bait works. Upstairs you will find camping gears as well as the firearms for the hunters of the family. There is an indoor archery range to a "Disney style shooting gallery" for the small kids to be entertained while the grown-ups go shopping. The store also has a "sweet shop" filled with homemade fudge and brownies to a variety of hot sauces and other hard to find gift items. Overall, Ive never left this place dissatisfied.

Brought my bow into there store just to sight my pins in at their range. One of the clerks decided to take the bow and said he would do a bunch of adjustments on the bow for free to "help me out". Next thing I know he is putting my bow in and out of the bow press 7-8 times, and it took him over 4 hours. Finally just said enough is enough and told him I didnt need anything else done to it. When I got home I noticed he moved my drop away so far towards my riser that every arrow I shot the fletching hit the side of my bow. The worst part was that from putting my bow in and out of the press he bent my cams where they connect to the axle. Took the bow back told them what happened and they told me they didnt do it. Had to take my bow to an actual archery shop to confirm that the damage was indeed from a bow press and they finally said the best they could do is give me $250 in store credit. They completely ruined the bow and took no responsibility for it. I would not recommend them working on your bow at all. They didnt care that they ruined it and acted like I was a total inconvenience. When I went back to the store I even asked them to put it in the press to show them that it would line up exactly to the damage and they literally REFUSED to put my damaged bow into the press. DO NOT LET THEM WORK ON YOUR BOW. Go to Jerrys Archery in Stockton. At least they know what they are doing.

Poor customer service, if you do go to Bass Pro Shops make sure you dont buy their brand but any other brand they stock is good. Just not the bass pro brand with their 1 year warranty. I have a rod I purchased there and accidently broke the top piece close to the tip and want it to exchange for a new one, which Im still with in the warranty but with out my receipt they tell me they wont be able to exchange because they dont know if the rod was still within the 1 year warranty or an actual purchase date. And that time I told them I purchase it through my debit card so I can provide my statement of purchase date but they wont accept my statement because it doesnt describe what item of purchased, my statement that day was over $200.00...."What a good customer service"...Oh yes and this is what they told me with their 1 year warranty deal, it needs a receipt or if its still in their system data base, which their system data base updates every 3-4 months so anything after that updated are no longer exist. What I dont get it, if my item is good for 1 year why cant bass pro data base reach out the their customer and keep their data base for up to 1 year. If the system data base is only good for 3-4 months than my item I purchased is really only guarantee and back by the store for 3-4 months. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

the first few times I went here it was amazing experience friendly staff and all bought some great fishing gear here could not find anywhere but online a little after this store opened, Was anxious to get back after moving out of the area decided to take a family shopping trip with the kids to bass pro shop even drove an hour to see their fish tank (which was empty) and pick up some stuff for trout season, first of all I couldnt find their trout baits because they tucked them down on the end of at the bottom of shelves...I guess no one fishes for trout anymore? Then I was looking for a person to ask questions about something the guy skips me to talk to an older lady who already had a cart full, so I moved on the kids wanted to see upstairs...apparently I must have fit a suspicious profile or something because on the staircase the staff clearly followed me and my kids and watched us the whole time...I went to the Kayak section and there was literally two guys up there who seemed more busy talking to each other in the corner then trying to ask anyone shopping if they needed help. The only place we felt comfortable walking through the store was in the camo gun area of the store... the rest of the staff needs work this store does not feel like a family experience anymore..which is why I gave it one star

We spent $50,000 last year on a new boat. We have received horrible service there. Robert and Jeff are fantastic but we have a trailer that flexes going down the road. We nearly lost the boat off the trailer and had to go to extreme measures to keep it on there. We have taken it to several trailer and steal fabricators who say there is a problem with the trailer, but they say it is within specs. We have been forced to purchase a new trailer for $8,000.00 to haul our boat. They did determine that the stereo needed to be replaced after having our boat and trailer for 3 weeks. When we picked it up they told us it would take 7-10 days to order it. That has been over 3 weeks and nothing! Love the boat, wouldnt buy it from Bass Pro Shop, their guarantees are worthless!
