I paid $1,100.00 for a dining room table and 6 chairs. When I wanted to have it delivered, they could not find it!!!!!! Finally I located the table and 1 chair at their Santa Ana Store. Tried to get a refund or they needed to replace 5 missing chairs. Finally got owner on phone. Tried to work it out with him, but cussed me out and slammed phone down. It was done so hard it hurt the inside of my ear canal! I took the owner, Douglas Kent Munro, to Downey Small Claims Court. During this whole process, they changed their name four times. Douglas Kent Munro stayed the owner under each new name on State of California documents, which I had to buy from Sacramento. The judge was taking majority of cases under submission. I got a letter stating that Douglas Kent Munro did not owe me $1,100.00, with no explanation!!!!!! I was nervous in court, trying to understand what judge was asking for. He told me to go sit down several times until I found what he asked me for. I found everything judge asked me for. It took almost 4 years to research House To Home Furniture. They kept changing their names but same owner. On the day of trial, Defendant brought a packed binder saying he had become an LLC back in 2010. That did not change the fact that he was same owner all along. My opinion was that judge,who was only an attorney subbing for judge, was biased against me. I had so many documents trying to track down this furniture store, he did not like having to wait for me. He hardly looked at me but treated store owner better than he did me. We all had to be in court from 3-4 hours, as there were so many cases. Even though most of them were dismissed for failure to appear. The judge(attorney) showed total disrespect for me at end. He looked directly at Defendant and apologized that he had to be in court a long time. He totally ignored me,and my husband. I am a teacher. What about my lost time and wages!? He did not even at least say for this store owner to give me my table and 1 chair they had of mine. I was sick that day and in bathroom for awhile. My husband said the woman judge, a real judge, was helpful to Plaintiffs with their documents. Treated people respectfully and would have ruled in my favor. This attorney subbing for a judge,took her place. In my opinion, he was biased and corrupt. He basically told me that it was ok for this owner to steal $1,100.00 from me and keep my table and 1 chair,too!!!!!! I stood there in shock! I knew in my heart that a thief would be favored over a person who had faithfully made all my payments!!!!!! I was so angry and cried later about this abusive situation. My daughter is an honest businesswoman. She has personal knowledge of how these biased, corrupt judges in CA mistreat the consumer and favor the business. I ADVISE YOU TO STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM HOUSE TO HOME FURNISHINGS AS POSSIBLE!!!!!! People have seen their,"GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE" signs in their windows for 20 years! They have had to close several stores. My prediction is due to their corrupt business practices, House To Home Furnishings WILL BE out of business!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their customer service, selection, and quality are the best in town. Ive been buying furniture from them for about 20 years, since they owned their previous store, the now closed Munros Furniture, and Ive always been happy. I was sad to see Munros go away, but I was delighted when I learned that the same family opened this store. If you dont see what exactly youre looking for in the store, talk to them; They can find almost anything. To the person who said you have to prepay and their prices are not accurate. First, you only have to pay a deposit of 50%, so to say "you have to prepay is not accurate." 2nd, I dont understand your claim about price inaccuracies. They provide a detailed printed invoice when you place the order, and before you provide a deposit, so your claim makes no sense and your review is unfair.

Buyer beware- I would not recommend anyone purchase here. You have to prepay and delivery quotes are no where near accurate. Then instead of answers and communications you get lied to. Waited an extra month for a couch. Wish I would have read the reviews here or talked to a co worker that is having the same problem. Would have been much happier somewhere else.

bought a power lift-chair recliner there for my 84 year old mother. The chair is made in the USA, good quality and under $1,000.00. Salesperson and owner were friendly and very pleasant to deal with. The showroom is beautiful and well merchandised with lots of variety. I highly recommend this furniture store.
