You know what I like about this place? Well, definitely not the smell inside. Its bad. But the value you can here. Yesterday, I bought a simple meal for a family of four for $10. I price shop and know that the exact same things would cost $15 at Ralphs and $20 at trader Joes or sprouts. But the thing is, when it comes to the produce, you need to check it carefully and make sure to grab good stuff. Yes, the onion or Bell pepper are smaller than Ralphs, but they are also a fraction of the price. Meat is a fraction of the price also and theyve got great marinated chicken and steak for half the price of previously mentioned stores. Say what you will about Mexico and Mexicans but Ive always known them to be a generous people and I think this chain reflects that generosity.

Well what I didnt and dont like is that el super needs to train more in customer service hire people that dont carry a chip on their shoulder that actually are content with the job they are doing so one of 2 things are wrong here 1 is that which I just stated or bad management which ever can it be fixed or will el super always have sorry customer service

Wonderful local supermarket full of uncommon food stuffs (uncommon to me) like: many different fresh Mexican cheeses and salsas; freshly baked bread and cakes; ready made and marinated carne asada and fresh meat including carne asada meat; hard to find cuts of pork and beef; freshly fried pork crackling (yummy); and so much more.

This is a huge supermarket and it has all the essentials that I need. The marinated meats and their panderia. The best of both worlds. Plenty of parking too. I would come back here. Although if I had to choose between El Super and Northgate, I would pick Northgate :)
