Called on the phone last night to check the price of duck breast. I was told it cost 6.99 per pound. The shop is a little out of the way, but for the price, sure. Spent 20 minutes to drive out of my way on the ride home today to get there, and was shown 18.99 for duck breast. They admitted whoever quoted 6.99 made an error, but they didnt honor it, which was a little unfair. Not really cool to lure someone in with one price, to offer another, and then not stand by their mistakes. Wont shop here again.

Homegrown Meats is great. Atleast the Grass Fed Meat is, I actually visited the ranch during a Whole Foods Field Trip. They get their grass fed beef from the Mendenhall Ranch which is in Palomar Mountain. Now I dont know where they get their prime beef. Also the grass fed carne asada is so good here. Now I dont know about the pork here. But Ill continue to buy the grass fed beef.

What a difference grass fed meat makes. This place is the only butcher in San Diego county that you can get grass fed meat that is easily digested in your body. I am a customer for life!!! Also try Rimels in Cardiff they make Sirloin Grassfed Burgers simply awesome!!! -
