A Prescription was called in to be filled at Green Valley, Arizona. Due to an apparent typo at Walgreens the prescription was filled at Grass Valley, California. Similar name???? not really. I tried to call the Grass Valley pharmacy for four hours and got a busy signal. Really, 4 hours? So I went online and found another phone number and was put on terminal hold with horrible music and constipation commercials. So after I have suffered through the lousy service from Walgreens I will NEVER use them again. If this was my only bad experience at a Walgreens pharmacy Id give it another chance, but unlike the awful hold song Im being tortured with " youre not the best thing that ever happened to me", but one of the most unpleasant. Now its "raindrops are falling on my head". I think this is a plot to get people to just hang up in despair. I will keep typing (Im a slow typist) as long as I am on hold. Dont worry, I dont ever expect anyone to read this or give my complaint a minute of their time, even though Im having to obviously spend a LOT of MY time trying to do business with you. I think I may have to capitulate and hang up. The music is sickening me and Im using up my cell minutes. I will try to get a human at my local Walgreens. Maybe they can reach your Grass Valley store. Corporate people: You may need to pay your pharmacy staff better in order to get enough people and people who are able to service customers without the usual Walgreens louse attitude. Just sayn I gave it one star, only because there was no zero star choice.

Walgreens is a preferred provider for my mother-in-laws insurance. I think that means that customer service is not required? The diabetes products she needed were never ready, and rarely even ordered until we showed up to pick up the phoned in refill. The most recent experience was when we phoned in the refill for my mother-in-laws blood pressure medication. Due to balancing between insurance authorization and our departure, we scheduled it to be picked up as we were leaving town on a trip. It wasnt ready and they told us it would be another 2 hours, we didnt have another 2 hours. We transferred it to another pharmacy en route, but it took Walgreens 3 days to make the transfer. We are now day 3 without blood pressure meds and her blood pressure is through the roof.

By far the absolute worst service I have ever experienced! Rarely do I not wait at least 20 minutes to pick up a prescription it is usually more like 40 plus! I use to allow at least 4 hours, now I try to call 2 or 3 days in advance for a refill in hopes they will be ready...sometimes they still arent! The only reason I am still a patron is because they are a major provider and we normally move every couple years! The people are nice but the service is beyond poor. I will be happy when I no longer have to deal with the monthly frustration...there has to be a better way to run a business. Also this is the FIRST time in my life I have written a review on a site...it is that bad!

This pharmacy would have been 5 stars if Id rated it in January, 2014. I had used the Marysville Walgreens a few times in the past, and their efficiency was impressive. Since Walgreens was on the list of money-saving pharmacies for medicare, our family transferred all of our mothers prescriptions from Kmart to the GV Walgreens. In recent months, Grass Valley has become very slow. The staff looks frustrated, one has been "snippy", and everyone seems frazzled. I dont understand what the problem is here in Grass Valley, but I wish theyd take a few lessons from the long established Marysville pharmacy. This rating is on its way downward.

Never, in my whole life have I ever had to wait 24 hours to pick up a prescription. And honestly whatever, I dont mind having to wait a day but dont tell me every time I call (I called over 5 times) they would say my prescriptions would be ready in 45 minutes. This is absolutely the most poorly run pharmacy department I have ever been to. I move around alot, so iv been to my fair share of Walgreens/pharmacy. This is also the FIRST review I have ever written in my life about anything. This hole they call a pharmacy is that bad. I wish I could give less than one star. I feel giving a whole star is being far to generous.

It can take them a looong time to get your prescription, and the wont always tell you when they do have it. I feel like the staff used to be much more friendly than they are now. Theyre generic versions of one of my medications was almost $150! I could get a generic version of that drug for $15 at Walmart. Thats just bad business. Honestly, its not the worst place but if you can, go somewhere else.

Annoying phone system, chronically under staffed, slow service & to top it off, I was told my prescription medication would be available the next day. It took another week before the damn thing was filled - and I never got a phone message to explain that it wasnt available, that they got it in stock or that my scrip was filled. WTF is that? God-damn awful pharmacy.

The rest of the store is quite service oriented....and then theres the pharmacy! Both in store and outside....either very long lines, clearly understaffed and indeed one feels like we are imposing on them to find our prescriptions. GET some help!

As a new customer, I had questions. The staff couldnt get me off the phone quick enough. They didnt answer my questions, wouldnt tell me when the prescription would be done, wouldnt tell me how much it would be, nothing. Stay far away VERY RUDE.

Nightmare!!! Prescriptions are consistently never ready when they say it will be. It seems they are way understaffed. Wish I could go back to Rite-aid or CVS but my insurance charges more for out of network.

Terribly understaffed. Now they have hired a number of new people; however they seem inexperienced, and not terribly polite. It would seem that Walgreens has lowered the bar for new hires.
