went here because I was in the store Eyeglass World to buy new frames for my daughter and she was due for a yearly checkup, so out of convince I had her yearly eye exam done here. However, not Dr. Yao but rather his "assistant" preformed the eye exam which was not disclose to me until I returned to pick up her glasses and I had an issue because he of course got the prescription wrong. After buying two name brand frames and lenses at the fitting my daughter could not see out of the glasses so we had to do another exam this time by Albert Yao. After learning he is the professional and not the previous examiner I was confident the next prescription would be right but I was so wrong. After waiting days and having to drag my daughter in there yet again to try on her glasses she still couldnt see well out of them. I was told we would have to do a 3rd exam and again after a month and 4 exams her prescription was still wrong. I then went to Lens Crafters (where she usually gets her glasses and always get her exams and they preformed a more in depth and thorough exam and a few days later when going to her first fitting at LC to my relief the glasses worked out perfectly and she could see better than ever. I went back in to Eye Glass World to receive my over $400 refund and then went into the eye exam office to request a refund from them as well seeing I now had proof by comparing both exams that Albert Yaos exam was extremely inaccurate and greatly differed from the successful exam we had at LC. I was refused a refund for the exams and told that it is in the contract that under no circumstances does he return your money! He is ripping off people who go to him because he makes his money off of people who assume he will give you accurate results just because he has an office, examination equipment, and located inside of a popular eyeglass store.

Worst customer service ever!!! Do not use them. I order my contacts and asked for a specific color, even told them several times over the phone I wanted to switch the color they even repeated the new color back to me. They call me back to confirm the amount of contacts I was purchasing, I again reminded them I am switching the color. Close to the end of the phone call they ask if I was going to pay over the phone, I asked if I can pay when I pick up. Someone else gets on the phone with an attitude saying they couldnt order without payment. I paid no problem, I go to pick them up, lady at the front desk, not friendly at all. Someone else comes to help me, they bring my new contacts out, and they are the wrong color. The "unfriendly lady" then steps in with her bad attitude saying she personally confirmed that order, and it was correct. I try to tell her several times my side and she was just to overbearing. She said I was stuck with them and the only way I can get what I ordered was to purchase more. Absolutely the worst customer service ever, I left there feeling disrespected, angry and embarrassed. I have been using this place for about 5 years, I have had issues with this same individual a few times in the past being rude but this was by far the worst experience. It bothers me the most that she couldnt even apologize for it, or even admit that she made a mistake. She basically said shes right and Im wrong and there is nothing anyone is going to do about it. Its upsetting that I had to pay over $80 for her mistake, and keep something Im unhappy with, that I didnt even order. its also upsetting how she can talk down, and raise her voice at a costumer/patient in a waiting room full of people.

Ive never had to wear glasses before. I had good help from the woman picking them out. I was excited to get Jenny Mcarthy designer glasses and was told that she has her own cases. So couldnt wait to pick up my new glasses. Only to have them in the cheapest plastic case Ive ever seen and the woman who was at Check out said Jenny Mcarthy didnt have any case!!??. Even my husband who went there had better cases given to him with the cheaper glasses. Upon leaving dissapointed, my husband told me they were supposed to be fitted to me but the lady didnt even Check them on me. Also we are waiting forever for my husbands to come in. He is a truck driver and its been since the 1st. Its already the 10th. He cant wait anymore.

I have given a separate review for Dr. Yaos office due to his exceptionally rude receptionist Martha.. This review is not for Dr. Yaos office though but for the store.. Christina the young lady who helped me with my glasses is a shining star. Her mannerisms exude grace and charm and a genuine desire to give excellent customer service. I was very pleased with her. She went out of her way to help me not just pick a great pair of glasses but helped me to find the best deal for me incorporating my insurance. She is a very kind and helpful young woman who represents this company in the finest way. She is the kind of employee I would want on my team. Thank you Christina! :)

I came looking for their phone number and ran across these bad reviews and felt the need to defend. I have been going to eyeglass world for my glasses for the past 3 years. I love the deals and am more than happy with my eyeglass frames. In regards to exams and contacts, in my experience, I was told that I was required to buy contacts from them the same day if I received their amazingly low price exam (call around if you do not agree) but was allowed to just get the exam as long as I purchased a box from them before my prescription expired. How awesome! Like I said, I am a REPEAT happy customer.

Had the BEST customer service by Riley, awesome guy answered all my questions with lots of patience.He took hes time helping me find the frames and lenses I need it, definitely ask for him we you go in to Eyeglass World. Manager if you read this give this him a pay increase. I will definitely be coming back two years from now once my prescription is up. Also the Optometrist there Albert Yaois the best in town for your next eye doctor visit. Keep the great work up. ☺

Well after choosing all the stuff and ordering everything and told them we would be in to pay later which they said was fine they called and said if you dont pay right now we are putting everything back...no amount of dialog seemed to fit. The management there is BAD! I had referred a friend there and now I am said. Save your money and go to some place with integrity and good selection. THEY SUCK! -star!

The optometrist that performed my exam, Albert Yao, left much to be desired. Poor communication mixed with a cold demeanor. The reception staff were more interested in discussing personal topics with one another instead of managing the growing number of customers. Ill be looking elsewhere for my next eye exam and lens purchase.
