They are the best place to shop for work boots in the area (that I have found). My main complaints are not directly at them -- they had only 4 work boot styles for women, and they didnt carry any mens boot sizes under 8. I guess thats fairly representative of the industry, but it sucks, because the USFS has a lot of female employees ho shop at Picky Picky Pickys and we need boots, too. They only had one womens size 9 Danner Rain Forest boot, and I believe 9 is the most popular womans size. This would not have negatively impacted me, except that the shoe Danner sent them was defective -- check out those laces! One half hooks, the other eyes? So much for craftsmanship! But the guy working there was helpful, and is ordering boots for me. Its a good store overall, and usually cheaper than ordering through the website for Danner or Whites. They have a big clothing inventory, and if I had been in the market for a jacket, it would have been perfect. If you have the capability to wear a mans 8 or above, there are many quality boots to pick from. Otherwise, its kind of meh.

The store was nice. However not having staff available is a problem. Sears, Kohls in the mall dont require an employee to unlock the fitting rooms. Neither should PPP. 12/1/52012 3pm - long lines - probably 20 minutes to pay since they had only one employee had their register open at the time. Not a single employee was available to unlock the fitting rooms. While I found the pants in the size that I *think* I needed, I wasnt able to try them on. Im not going to have to deal with a local store that doesnt post its return policy in a visible place (such as at the entrance). I just left the store and placed my order on Amazon. If the items dont fit, Amazon will pay for the return shipping. Cant get much better than that. So, so much for "Buy Local". You only support arrogant owners who dont think they have to provide service and value to their customers.

GREAT store. Even better now that they started selling milsurp products again (in another building half a block down 7th St from the main store). Their prices arent that great, but they have the best selection of workwear in Humboldt County and its great to be able to support a local business, even if the up-front costs are a little higher. Just be sure the check the labels! A lot of my favorite workwear brands are now made in China or other overseas locations. BUY DOMESTIC and if possible: BUY LOCAL!

They have awesome stuff there, which is why it sucks that its impossible to get any help, I must have waited 30 minutes politely looking at boots, while the staff talked about there upcoming time off, and then made it awkward when I asked like i.was interrupting them.....it was also super hot in the store and had no water for sale, when I asked where to get something cold to drink they said they had no idea despite a restaurant across the street and a Starbucks a block away....terrible customer service...

Im in Eureka every three weeks, and the first place I go once I have a free moment is always Picky Picky Picky. I love their vast selection of quality clothing, the "gear" available in the separate surplus store, and am always confident that I can find whatever I need (and often things I dont!) Ive always been well-attended to by staff, have been able to exchange things without issue, and just plain enjoy shopping there.

picky picky is a great place to buy pretty nice clothes but the females are completely rude specially the owner, i bought a two hundred $jacket from them i shouldnt have to deal with stink face little bitches no body else who brings them business should have to deal wit bad service

I always get hooked up here , the employees will check in the back or even offer to special order, something if you need another color or size, I always look for the skinny guy with longer blond hair. Very friendly and pro!
