I bought a new TW -200 last year. I thought it was safe and a great beginners bike. I am not a beginner Ive been riding 50 years. I am 55 now.I just wanted a nice cruiser for the Colorado mountains.After Winter and a complete service last year I started it up.I let it warm up over 5 minutes.I put it in first gear with the clutch all of the way in. The bike took off and threw me against a wall. It says nothing in the owners manual about pulling clutch lever in 10 to 20 times. That is what 7 different dealers service people told me these bikes need. I suffered a TBI.and was unable to walk for 3 months.I am still hurting from the malfunction.I called Yamaha Corp. and they said well sorry,.that is all. I would avoid Yamaha as they do not stand behind product.

Refreshingly pleasant and helpful to deal with. These days, who wants to call a corporate office? They helped research my issue and directed me to a local dealer for service. Although there wasnt an official recall on the part, it was a known issue on my make and model year bike. They worked with Pasadena Yamaha to replace the part and cover the labor at no cost to me! Thank you very much, I couldnt be more pleased.

I just wondered about the old style 500 tt and xt model motorcycle I think Yamaha should bring back old thumper I had a 77 xt nothing like that motorcycle and I own a Harley now but I would buy another tt or xt if that style came back

The bike r great just like the other leaders. I like there super sport racing motorcycle, great handling good power and had that extra power ull need. All in all its a cool bike...
