I have been taking my 2000 Softail in for 5000 mile services since I’ve owed it. It costs me a lot of extra dollars to do that, but the bike is in great shape and I want the best for it. But maybe the service at OC Harley Davidson isn’t the best anymore. In my 20,000 service this week, I knew I was going to get hit with the standard $640 bill. I wanted the assurance of good experienced and professional mechanics so I took it in for service and in addition I asked them to include an engine guard with highway pegs and helmet locks ($600+) and additional wiring for an auxiliary charger for my iPhone ($200+). The total will be over $1500. As usual I get a phone call in 3-4 hours suggesting additional work including a new front tire ($300+ to replace the tire OC Harley put on less than 5000 miles earlier, they said “I must have been riding underinflated” which I was not), new case seals ($450+ as OC Harley said the bike might start leaking on my garage floor soon), and a new battery ($150+ as OC Harley said my old battery had marginal cranking power). Well, I told them to go ahead with the new tire and a new battery. Now my 20,000 checkup is a bit over $2000 with tax. Okay, it gets worse, yes it goes downhill fast. The next day I get this call from OC Harley saying that I needed new spokes and hub. My front alum spokes and hub were corroded and, to make matters worse, the mechanic broke a spoke by attempting to tighten it. When I asked why he was trying to fix something that didn’t need fixing, the reply was that their standard practice is to adjust the spokes so it runs smoother. When I mentioned that I was not having problems with that, he indicated that OC Harley likes to examine everything in their service. Long story short, OC Harley now advised me I needed to replace all spokes ($400+). Yes, instead of replacing the one they broke, they want me to ante up for the whole job that they “uncovered” (created). I resisted and said I could not afford the $400+ they wanted nor could I justify having to pay for something they broke; “why don’t you just replace the spoke you broke?”After some discussion, OC Harley called back and said they had already put the front tire on and the bike is ready to pick up. I asked what they did about the broken spoke; they said “nothing, the bike should ride okay without it.” Attempting to hold my temper as best as I could, I told the counter clerk that I did not want to take the bike with a broken spoke nor did I think it was fair that I had to do so. I suggested I can offer to pay for one spoke, a $10 part, but OC Harley should install it without charge. Is that too much to ask when you are paying over $2000 for a service visit? I asked OC Harley Service clerk to review this with management (on 9/11/13) and give me a call back. So far I have not heard back and they still have my Softail.

After traveling for 2 weeks to California from Michigan, with a poorly tuned stage 4 high compression 103 motor. I stopped into the Orange County Harley-Davidson on a recommendation from a friend that lives there to see if they could fix my extreme knocking and pinging problem. I needed it done quickly so I could head back to Michigan. I spoke to the service manager and told him my situation. He then went to the back and brought Manny out, an Engine tech, who I then spoke to about my motor. Manny informed me that he would get my bike in immediately and see what was the deal. He took the information about my engine build and remapped my computer, tweaked it further. After about 45 mins it came back running great. He also informed me that the dealer in Michigan put in the wrong map on my engine and thats why I was having major issues with the bike. I would like to thank the Orange County Harley- Davidson Service department and staff especially Manny!!! What a top notch tech and cant thank him enough for all of the work. My trip home was amazing and the motor performed better as the gas octane increased! In closing this dealership went over the top to help some one from out of state, I highly recommend them!!! Sincerely, Paul Chapoff Brighton, MI

Deplorable service. Can I give no stars? Bought a shirt that had a hole from THEIR security tag, and I got an attitude about exchanging it after saying it was done by the security tag. New manager upstairs is all about name dropping and saying her family owns the biggest dealership in the midwest, along with all their exotic cars than providing any type of service. She refused to credit or exchange. I told her to look up my account I spend tons of money and bought a fatboy there, and never once returned one items. She kept saying how she buys a ot at Harley and grew up in the biggest dealership in midwest and how much she buys at Ferrari dealership. Not sure how it pertains to the hole that was in my shirt by the security tag. Finally I said you want to lose a customer over a $65 shirt? She said she didnt like threats. She told me it would personally be taken out of her paycheck and this put her job on the line/at risk. I told her if a $65 return put her job at risk, her job was very insecure. She kept talking about Ferrari and was extremely arrogant and rude.

Orange County Harley Davidson is one of nicest dealerships Ive visited. It is a large building with 2 floors. The first floor has all of the bikes, service and parts. The second floor has apparel and accessories. There is plenty of parking in front and back of the building. Ive taken my Deuce in for tires and I found their prices fair, and their staff friendly and helpful. When your bike needs service, there is comfort in knowing Harley techs are performing the work. If you dont have a Harley, this is a fun place to browse the bikes and maybe pick up a cool trinket, tshirt or jacket. If you sign up and become a VIP+ member, you can even come on most Saturday afternoons and join the BBQ for a free hotdog or a sandwich, chips and drink. The sales people at OC Harley are not pushy and the staff is very friendly. I come here all the time with my little silky terror, with her pink collar and no one has called me a pansy yet...well at least not directly...lol!

Zero Stars. ..They installed a new cam, Dino showed 75 hp, 93 torque. .They were so happy with these results. Within seconds of riding the bike I knew it had less power and no acceleration. I returned the bike and they realized that the timing was off. They adjusted the timing and now it has 93 hp 103 torque. If they know how it should perform then why did they release the bike that had less power then when I dropped it off. And they left my bike outside in the rain and when I picked it up water was coming out of the speaker grills and the seat was wet. When I got home my pants was soaking wet. So they gave me a bike that the timing was off and they left it in the rain. Great company. I will never do business here ever again.
