My friends told me to go to Mach 1 for my classic honda. I must admit I was skeptical when I first arrived there. The shop is in an old building right off newport blvd, so that makes it super easy to find. When I came to pick up my bike they never told me any price and they charged 600$ and didnt fix anything!!!!! Then they told me I needed an entire new motor. Then they said they wouldnt fix it. Later I took it to another shop and found out the stuck a bunch of washers in the carbs which they said was the stupidest thing anyone could ever do. The owner told me it was running good when he first tested it after they did the work... YEAH RIGHT!! theres no way it was running good then magically 10 minutes later it was worse then when I brought it. The way he does business is totally illegal, please dont ever take your bike here. I have no idea how they have any decent reputation at all!

Where to start? I have been going to Mach 1 to buy parts when I was working on bikes out of my garage. the first couple of times I went in there they had no idea what they were doing. you look around and people are running around like chickens with there head cut off, mechanics are dropping bikes up against the fence in front of other customers, and the lady is yelling at me and everyone else for that matter !! They finally dig the parts out I need and they are priced way over retail! I have to argue with them for 10 minutes for them to drop the price (which is still more then MSRP) and as Im leaving I look at the price tag on the part and it $20 less then what they tried to charge me. Mach 1, I dont think so :(

This shop used to be busy because they had knowledgeable mechanics. Its no longer as busy as it used to be, and I see why. Lately, theyre been nothing but hacks to me. Last time, they put the front tire on backwards on my sports bike. The owner, Long, apologized and said hed take of me next time. He knew i was a regular for years. This time i went in for an insurance estimate and they DRILLED the frame trying to get a bolt out. Automatically, that meant the frame needed to be replaced (any famage to a motorcycle frame in California makes it so). I only asked for an estimate, and i got a ton of damage. Worst oart? He apologized but still billed me for "storage" and "estimate". Unbelievable.

Do NOT bring a Buell to Mach1! They do not have the tools or knowledge to even change a back tire. They wanted to remove one time use hardware and re-use it. Apparently, they do it all the time, according to the owner. First off the tech didnt loosen the pinch bolts before he took an impact wrench to the rear axle. Then he could not get the tire off the wheel and wanted to remove the pulley. I told him that you have to replace the hardware if you remove it and he said it would be fine and they would line it up by eye. Really by eye? Also I gave the tech all the relevant torque specs. He used that impact wrench again. I will never bring a bike here again!

I love this place. Ever since I got my 2009 Yamaha R6, I have been searching for a good place to service my bike. After going through several other shops, like Bert’s Mega Mall and Riverside Motorsports, I found Mach 1 and have never turned back. The customer service at Mach 1 is outstanding and they will always make you happy with the service they provide to you. The repairs are always done correctly and they double check your bike to ensure that it is always safe when you leave. Instead of searching around for some other place that will disappoint you, just try Mach 1 the first time and you will not want to go anywhere else.

A+ Service. Great group of guys. Jimmy is upfront and honest. Long and his crew work beautifully on the bikes. Brought my GSXR 750 to get the tires replaced and a oil/filter change. I was in and out in less than a couple hours, just as promissed by Jimmy. Their prices are extremely fair, much more competitive than going to the local dealership. I will absolutely be returning back for future oil changes and tire changes, and anything else Ill be doing to the bike. Thanks again Mach 1.

They sucker you in with cheap fast work, inexperienced with new technology bikes, they replace oem parts with shitty parts. They zip tie fairings. These guy are a joke and only skilled at older bikes. Rip off for any other repair work. feed you bullshit. over all a shitty grimey messy disorganized place. Good for tire change and minor work only. they do not go above and beyond and over charge. Lies to your face. read the 5 star comments and they are all novice people with novice issues.

I have been going to Mach1 for years now, and I would never take my bike anywhere else. Jimmy has been an amazing resource for information, and always MORE than fair on pricing. The work done by their shop is always spot on, and they will have a crew of 4 working on your bike sometimes if you need it done for a track day or race ASAP. I have gone to them for anything from oil to race plastic install, dyno tune. You can always feel confident the work is being done well.

I have been going to Mach 1 for 14 years and I tell you this shop is 100% on the level. if he give you a price, trust and believe that it will not change. Unless he gets into the bike and see something else, At t hat point he calls you to tell you what he saw and the revise price IF you wish to get it done. if you say no 1 time the conversation is over. lol again I have been going to Mach 1 for over 14 years and he still does me that way.. lol

Cant recommend this shop high enough for trustworthiness, fair pricing and skills. Long and his crew know what they are doing and take care of business. I have been riding almost 40 years and have taken my bikes to all kinds of shops from dealer service (OUCH!) to one-man garage operations (where did he go?) and I hope I never move so far away that I cant use Mach1 to work on my bikes. Bring your bike in - they will take good care of you.

I brought in my Gsxr for some service but I think due to the language barrier it was difficult. I wrote out everything I had done on my own and left some notes on what I thought needed to be done, long and short is they redid all the work I had done thinking that is what I wanted. Very frustrating but they did seem like they new what they were doing, still the language barrier made it a little difficult to follow along at time.

Mach 1 is by far the best shop around they are the only shop that I will let work on my 2007 GSXR750. They are very attentive to details and they are also the only shop that I know of the the owner him self rides every bike after they have been worked on to insure they are running to their high quality standards and safe thanks to Mach 1 after 33,000 on it it runs awesome better than new! Thanks jim
