NEWEGG (Union Electronic Distributors) promised an OEM General Electric part. However, they sent me the WRONG PART while I am desperately waiting to fix my fridge. Now, I will have to manually defrost a second time and get the right part from a competent supplier! They mislabelled the wrong GE fridge defrost thermostat and sent it to me. This totally screwed up my planned refrigerator repair. I confirmed this with GE Appliance corporate. The part I received has the WRONG serial number, the WRONG temperature rating and the WRONG color lead wires. GE also told me that OEM parts are in GE printed bags. The part I received from Newegg/Union was not. They may be peddling after market parts as OEM! I contacted Union Electronics and was told they could not help me! I had to contact Newegg! I finally got through on Newegg chat and was told all they could do is email Union Electronics for me. I wanted the correct part expedited to me ASAP. I thoroughly described the situation. But, NO! When I got a copy of Neweggs email, it was a return request stating the I had ordered the wrong item. Unbelievable! i waited in the Chat line again! in order to tell Newegg that it was entirely Union Electronics fault. Newegg took NO RESPONSIBILITY but only promised to update their email to Union. I contacted GE again and GE corporate! told me that Newegg is not an authorized supplier of GE parts! More evidence that their Marketplace sellers may be engaged in false advertising! Now, while I should be fixing my fridge, I am wasting time with Newegg custormer service, not getting a satisfactory, timely response and having to find a trustworthy seller! I thought I had!

NewEgg has always been a trusted source of computer hardware....Well until recently. I recently attempted to purchase 5000$ worth of NAS equipment from them. Their handling of the situation was incompetent. The order used NewEgg and 2 third party vendors for fulfillment. This is not an unusual situation with NewEgg. But what happened next was the worst bit of customer service I have ever experienced. NewEgg held the part of the order that they were fulfilling but passed my company card on to their 3rd party vendors. The 3rd party vendors fulfilled the order no problem. Newegg however required a phone call for fraud protection. That was baffling how could they pass on card information to a 3rd party vendor that they themselves thought was fraudulent. We called newegg to verify the card information 2 days went by and they had still not fulfilled the remaining part of the order. After much waiting on hold and several people who could not help me even if they wanted to. We were left with an impossible situation in which they had fulfilled part of an order but for fraud reasons refused the rest of the order. Apparently newegg thinks that as a corporation it is ok to risk their 3rd party vendors reputations and merchant accounts but not their own. I have lost all confidence in newegg to handle my CC information. I will never do business with them again. This is far and away the worst customer service I have ever received.

One experience ruined my whole outlook I bought a phone. I changed the shipping address. the package was shipped to the wrong address. Tried to change the address with newegg or fedex and they said they couldnt. Tried to schedule a pickup. They said I couldnt. They said they would have to return it and send it to the right address so I waited and called them daily to make sure it would come. Every time they said it would. It returned to their warehouse. I called and they said that they had to refund me because they no longer had the item I bought available. What?! I just sent back that item. Its sitting in your warehouse. How can it be no longer available? Just send it back. Nope. They cant do that. I am two weeks out with no phone. Thanks Newegg. You lost me, my whole family and everyone I know. I will never buy from you again because your customer service is horrible.

Awesome experience with the guys from will call. I went in to return a NVMe SSD after trying for a day to get it to work on my laptop. I ultimately found out that my device didnt support NVMe SSDs only SATA. Got a rep from newegg to file my return and decided to deliver it myself at their hybrid center. When I arrived I asked why the return label didnt include the tax I paid for the device. The sum listed for the refund was $135 minus a 15% restocking fee (with which I was OK) but it didnt say anything about the tax I paid. One very nice guy behind the counter decided to take a closer look at my case and waived the restocking fee and assured me that I was going to get the $11 I paid in tax back as well. Needless to day I was more than happy I dropped off the SSD personally and I recommend doing the same to anyone reading this review, if youre in the LA metro area.

Purchased and paid for express shipping on item purchased. Notice a couple of days later the item was in fact sent via standard shipping. Contacted customer service and whilst I appreciate the matter cant be rectified as it is already in transit, the service given was abysmal. They could not provide any explanation of how this even occurred or restitution other than a wry apology. I explained that the part would now arrive after I needed it but that was not their problem. In my experience working in customer service, gestures however token they might can often help soften the inevitable frustration customers have when they are stuffed around. In this instance nothing was provided. Totally pathetic and consumer ignorant. Avoid and pay extra where possible to purchase locally.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!! Purchased over $1000.00 in parts for building a PC and 3 of those parts totaling around $600.00 were defective. Thats just the first part of why I dont recommend new egg. The second part is that I went to exchange them with Newegg and they claimed that they only received one item rather than 3. They only exchanged the cheaper part totalling about $50.00 but never exchanged or even returned the remaining $550.00 worth of parts!!! I called and emailed for weeks and even spoke with the CEO as well as the trade commission and Nothing happened. It was later found out that the parts were stolen from the Newegg receiving staff but they never sent me the replacement parts or gave me a refund because too much time had passed!!!
