Walker Percy

This place is reminiscent of a book store out of Harry Potter or some other fantasy. Its the kind of place one would expect to find an ancient, dust-covered volume that contains forgotten knowledge. The process are unbeatable and the selection is amazing. One could go there looking for a specific book or, as I like to do, go just to browse and see what fascinating book catches my eye. It has recently come under new management and they are a delightful couple who are extremely helpful. I honestly cannot recommend this place more.

We are from the Reno area and stop at Winston Smith books every once in a while. This used bookstore has a great selection of books and is organized extremely well. Last time we were through we found some rare vintage Sci-Fi paperbacks that they found at an estate sale. We really enjoy this place and the employee that is usually there is very helpful and educated on all things books/comic books! Thank you!

The perfect place for a traveler to Auburn to spend the better part of an hour in, browsing, unmolested by hovering salespeople, a generously-spaced interior filled with well-curated books in many categories. Strong in the arts and poetry, as well as coffee-table books. Reasonably priced.
