This is my favorite local book store. The selection is not large but it is so well chosen that it feels enormous. The place is run by a couple (one is an ASU history professor) who seem to know every book in the place, and are extraordinarily well read. They have a very interesting first editions section and quite a few old books. Im not sure "college-type", as mentioned in other reviews is accurate- its just a cute book store run by the sort of couple that should always run book stores.

This is my go-to bookstore for rare and hard-to-find volumes, especially concerning the Southwest. They had a 1908 first edition of Camp-Fires on Desert and Lava by William T. Hornaday that I should have bought back in 1990 for the asking prioce of $75. Now its over $200 darn it..... Lots of obscure (meaning excellent) first editions on archaeology and Arizona exploration making it the perfect bookstore for me.

Small used bookstore that smells a bit like smoke. I was able to find a decent flying book for my boyfriend in pretty good condition but most of the books are quite old and beat up. They only take cash. No credit or debit cards. The couple running it was very friendly and gave me a funny bag with a snowman on it.

You couldnt ask for nicer folks than Chris and Paula. They go out of their way to help you find the right book. Their knowledge of books on all subjects is amazing. In addition their prices are very reasonable. They have a nice selection of western and antiquarian books, along with first edition books.

Love this bookstore! Its small, but very cute. They have such a range of books, plus it is run by a great couple. Paula is so helpful, and I swear she knows every book in the store.
