Wandering around aimlessly, lost without a cause can yield you some pretty amazing results. That was always the case when you were searching around Hyrule in any of the Legend of Zeldas, wasnt it? You never knew what you were going to find. Ill admit it, Ive been a Nintendo girl most of my life. I pledged allegiance when I was probably six or seven. One of my favorite memories was watching my grandma and mom stay up until 3am beating Super Mario 3 on Nintendo. Thats right--Grandma and Mom. From then on, we almost always had the new Nintendo within weeks of its release. It slowed up at the Game Cube, and I kind of switched gears to Playstation 2. That didnt mean I didnt still pay homage to the Nintendo gods through their handhelds. I went through all of the Game Boys and currently love my Nintendo DS even though I hardly ever play it anymore. We stumbled upon Fallout Games wandering around after an amazing meal at Thee Pits Again (go! now!). How can you not be attracted to a name like Fallout Games Its truly a gamers paradise. Walls of games, equipment, accessories, memorabilia, etc, etc surrounds you. Theres a throwback to almost every type of game system--however, it is more prominently Nintendo based. Thats just fine with me. I oohed and aahed at most everything in the store, each turn jogging my memory with something from my past. Employees are friendly and know their stuff. Prices are reasonable. Finding this place is like finding a little piece of the Triforce. Link would be proud.

Too be completely honest. This store rocks when it comes to retrogaming, the only thing that throws it off are the employees. They have no idea what they are talking about half the time. just today my girlfriend asked about skylanders giants on the 3ds. All she asked was "i noticed you have skylanders giants and the portal for the 3ds but i cant see the price tag, i was wondering how much it was?" the girl behind the counter started getting a cocky attitude saying that you have to buy the portal with the game which we obviously knew, then she started saying you cant use the portal with the 3ds or any of the charcters, i stated giglling and my girlfriend was getting confused. she asked again saying that shes just asking how much the portal with the game cost and the lady at the counter just couldnt understand what she was asking. i dont know how it was so difficult to understand the question that was asked. anyways another guy behind the counter said he thinks 40$ which we said thank you thats all we were asking and then the girl started talking trash about us under her breath as if we were dumb. all we asked was how much it was and she couldnt even understand. not to mention everytime i ask about a certain game they are always wrong about it. customer service there is horrible, that girl was completely dumb. only reason i will keep going is because of the games.

Ive only been here twice at the time of this review, but Ive already walked out with 3 consoles and a bunch of games. Large selection of retro and last-gen games and consoles at fair prices and cheap deals if you can find them! The manager here is also very knowledgeable, which is great if youre new to collecting rare games like I am, or simply looking for games that fit your play style. The best part is all the consoles are tested and come with a 1 year warranty so that takes off a lot of worry when buying decade+ old used hardware. Sure you can find cheaper ones off Craigslist, Offer Up, or other gaming stores but I get no hassle, peace of mind buying one here. Anything goes wrong, bring it back and theyll swap it out with the same or similar model. Make sure to get a can of compressed air to clean it out when you get home, some of them can be quite dirty inside. Most of the game discs Ive bought are very clean and little to no scratches, so they take good care of their games too! Coming here has been a great experience and Ill be sure to come back to fill in the gaps of my collection!

Good selection of retro games and hard to find items. With that set aside, the employees suck! The girl refused to give me a quote on a headset only because I didnt have it with us at the time. After telling her the headset was practically brand new her reply was " everyone says that!" and went on to say that they pay more then gamestop. A lot of people claim to pay more then gamestop! Anyways after being forced to go home and get the headset (still in the factory plastic) we return to Fallout. Same girl inspects the headset by removing the plastic bag on the headset and proceeds to throw it in the trash. After only offering $25 for a $250 headset said she wasnt going to put it back the way it was in the bag( depreciating the value of my item by throwing items away that came with it ). I cant say too much about other employees cause I didnt deal with them but this girl has no business working there! Took the same headset to gamestop and was offered $37.50. Pays more then gamestop my ass!

Ive been here several time to buy and sell games. Ive found that while they may not always have the best price on a particular game, its usually at least close and theyre very fair with trade-in credit. The employees are also helpful and knowledgeable, both about the hardware and the games themselves. Over the weekend, my xbox 360 blew up. I was planning to get a new one, but decided to stop at Fallout first. Im really glad I did. The guy was able to explain why my old one blew up and why the the refurbs they were selling were a lot less likely to. He even swapped out the hard drives for me. Im gaming again for about half of what I thought I was going to have to spend, and so far Im very happy with the console. That sealed it. Fallout is officially at the top of my list of places to go for all things video game related.

There is a guy who I think is the owner who is always in the store and always such an ass. The man refuses to admit when he is wrong even if you look something up on your phone about a game. I remember one time I simply asked if they have a game he told me it doesnt exist on that system telling me "I would know I work in a retro game shop!". Another time I called and he put me on hold for 47 minutes! I still have a screen shot from that day, I stayed on the line to prove a point and the guy REFUSED to mention how long I was on hold. I mean the store has good stuff and everyone else is super nice and helpful. Try to call ahead before going tough, if it takes you 3 or 4 calls to get an answer he is working so just wait like 10 minutes and call again if you dont get an answer, until he decides to pick up and put you on hold.

My bf and I really enjoy this place, we have been here quite a few times! :). Most of the time we always find what we are looking for at a great price. We can never seem to leave the store without spending more than a $100 there, lol. The only thing is a couple people there really need to work on there customer service. Always greet someone when they come through the door and ask if they need help. And if youre busy than at least acknowledge them with a simple "hey guys, welcome, I will be with you as soon as I can." Youre being paid to work there, so not to sound rude here, do your job. The owner (the woman I met) is amazing, super sweet! Some of her employees could learn a lesson from her....lol!
