My husband and I were recently in the area on business. We are from Prescott and have no Asian grocery in our area, so of course I had to check out Mekong! It is an amazing store with tons and tons of asian goods and groceries. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. What really impressed us though was a supervisor by the name of Steve. You see, when we got to the store and parked, another customer pointed out that our vehicle was leaking quite a lot of coolant. We went ahead into the store to do our shopping, and then returned to our vehicle to figure our what was wrong. I got on my phone to look up auto repair shops in the area, and prayed that the Lord would lead us to a good one. Steve saw us standing there, and offered to help. We asked him if he knew of a good honest mechanic in the area & he gave us the name of one he had used just up the road. (A+ Auto Repair) He even offered to let us fill up our radiator with their hose out back so we could get to the mechanic. Long story short, it was just 2 hours from the time we returned to our vehicle to it being fixed and back on the road! Thank you so much for your help Steve!!

I love shopping at Mekong Supermarket, for they have a variety of Asian food, and the prices are reasonable. However, the supermarket aisles are way too narrow to pass through! Unopened boxes of stocks are piled up in every corner of the store, making it harder for shoppers to navigate around the store. Worst of all, as I was shopping yesterday (November 1, 2014), somebody stole my iPad from the child seat of my shopping cart. The incident must have happened as I was busy reaching out for the items I wanted to buy and left my cart unattended. In a matter of seconds, my dear iPad disappeared without a trace. Even if I reported the incident to Customer Service, they didnt even offer to review their surveillance camera to check the possible theft that has happened. Also, they treated my concern as if it were an inconvenience rather than customer service. Nevertheless, I will continue patronizing Mekong Garden for its one of the two places that sell the food items I enjoy cooking. I do hope though that the staff takes into consideration the safety, comfort, and convenience of their shoppers.

I love this store they have the best mooncakes and their bakery is amazing also I love their boba stuff like tapioca pearls and they sell all the best drinks like chrysanthemum tea Thai tea boba tea soy milk and all. Their store is huge they also have a vast selection of curry and other Asian specialties. Its my absolute favorite Asian market I go there 3x a week I love it. Maybe a small request is that I wish they would carry milkis I havent been able to find it anywhere :( other than that I highly recommend this market its the best Arizona has to offer if Im being honest its the nicest Asian market Ive been to. Its super clean inside and it dont smell bad like many of the Asian markets I have shopped at. And the staff is quite pleasant I love it there :)

I count on Mekong for a good variety of Indian spices for curries, and love the selection of middle eastern and Asian foods they have as well. The meat & fish counter is huge with about every piece of seafood imaginable. Theres a massive sample of Asian tea that I havent had a good look at yet, and the only thing shady in their operation is the produce. Great variety, but be smart and get a good look at what youre buying. Garlic cloves shouldnt be liquid, just saying.

Awesome place to buy groceries, vegetables, food and stuff. This Asian market has all the varieties of groceries required for south-east, oriental, Chinese , Thai and various Asian cuisines. Meat, poultry and sea food is fresh and good. There are plenty of vegetables and a variety of leaves for Veg lovers. All the items are eligible for a 10% discount when you purchase. I am sure you will get the best price compared to other markets in and around Tempe and Mesa.

Great selection with good prices here! The selection of meat, fish and fresh vegetables is the best Ive found in the Phoenix area. You can get all sorts of the usual meats plus the hard to find varieties like rabbit, duck, and even crocodile. The fish selection is similarly awesome. As for produce, lets just say that there are purple yams, taro, several varieties of bok choy...and I really shouldnt try to list it all as Id go on all day here.

This place is great if you want to create your own asian meals. Has everything! The seafood section is outstanding. Interesting frozen section but if youre looking for unique fish, its safe to say they have it. The fruit and veggies are great. If youre looking for unique fruit and veggies they have that too! Love this place. Dont care the aisles are small. Dont care no one speaks english. Great place to shop

Went Yesterday the clerk advised me that my debit card would not go through. Did this several times. Lady was rude!!!! Came home looked up my bank information noting I had more than enough money. They charged me five (5) times of 50.00!!! My card was working and now that I am out 150.00. Without merchandise!! What a scam. Please be aware that you do not get into the same mistake I made by shopping there.

there are maybe 5 large multicultural & Asian-focused grocery stores scattered around town; Mekong has less Halal & European food than the other big supermarket in Chandler, but I think Mekong has a more comprehensive East Asian selection. Their sauce/paste aisles are insane and their meat and fish dept smells fresh - or more accurately does not really smell at all.

Our new favorite Asian market. There are plenty of restaurants out front to have lunch or dinner and the market has everything youd need to make authentic asian cuisine. The staff is helpful if you are looking for a hard to find item or specific brand. Only downside is its usually pretty crowded and there are usually boxes on the ground waiting to be stocked. Fun place to go!

I am so happy to find Mekong Market. They have an AMAZING selection of Asian specialty as well as your basic ingredients. The produce is fresh and they have the best prices. Definitely a must visit Asian Supercenter store! Very clean and well run!!! Great selection of fish and seafood! We need more ethnic stores like this here in the valley.

This is the only large Asian market I know of in the area. So many authentic choices, and some great restaurants with amazing food as well. Love sushi? Make it yourself and save. I bought a whole Hamachi Yellowtail for only $12 dollars! There are also a few little shops with goods from around the world.
