I ordered a custom Mothers Day ring for my wife 2 weeks before Christmas, I picked up the ring and gave it to my wife. We noticed the middle stone out of the 5 stones was half the size of the rest. This stone is a natural Ruby which I paid more for to top it off! It looked really cloudy and not high quality at all. I asked the salesman if these stones were going to be high quality because of the amount of money I paid for the ring and stones and he assured me that they were. Maybe I should of examined it closer before I brought it home, but i would still be in this situation. I cant believe a proffesional jeweler even attempted to set and pawn this stone off on a customer! Then Kay Jewelers examined it and even took a picture of it for their records. I cant believe I still ended up with a $1300 imperfect ring for my wifes Christmas present! Another issue is now that I returned the ring for repair its going to take a couple days short of a month to get it back. I know theres a process in doing the repair and ordering the stone but snail mail is not good customer service in my opinion. Everything should have been next day aired in this situation. I bought my husbands wedding ring (Tungsten) a month before we got married. 3 months after we were married it cracked. I took it in and they said there was nothing they could do unless it broke. My husband has a desk job, and rarely does anything that would cause it to break let alone crack! A month later, the ring finally cracked in half and had a chunk taken out of it...again, my husband has a desk job and its not like he was taking a hammer to it. We took it in, they took our name & number and told us they would have to send it back to the manufacturer. A month later, they call & tell us the ring is ready. We arrive to pick it up and the manager Will, said they couldnt send it out because they couldnt find our information (I had bought the ring under my maiden name). It had sat there for a month before they did anything about it. So we gave them everything they needed and it has now been 2 months & we still havent seen our ring.
