We have been going to 20/20 Image Eye Care for 4+ years and have had uneventful experiences. We have seen both the new and old optometrist. The current staff is mainly the same staff that was there under the prior optometrist and some staff are better than others, however they meet the needs of the annual eye exam and until recently their lack of excellence in service really didn’t bother me enough to change optometrists. My initial eye appointment this year (on a Saturday) was uneventful, but there was room for problems as we were leaving without finalizing the purchase of my glasses due to an issue on the insurances end. A representative was supposed to call me on Monday to finalize the purchase of my glasses and order them. I received no phone calls and finally decided to call on Tuesday evening (4pm) and asked why no one called me and was told that “they were there alone on Monday and were busy and didn’t have a chance to call me.” At this point she asked if she could call me back the following day and go over my insurance coverage and glasses purchase. I stated that I had already waited two days and needed to get my glasses ordered now, not tomorrow. This was not her desired answer but after my insistence, she went over everything with me and I was able to complete the purchase of my glasses. Now, 10 days later, my ‘new’ glasses are in and when I go to pick them up, I realize they ordered the wrong glasses. After sorting this mess out, they assured me that they would order the correct glasses and request a rush. Now, another week later the new glasses are in and I take them home. I started wearing them right away and noticed that they seemed to be ‘off’ and not any better than my existing glasses which were 2+ years old. I figured it might be my eyes and continued wearing the new glasses. After wearing them for a week I concluded that it was not my eyes but the glasses. At this point I was kind of torn as to going back to 20/20 and dealing with them again; however, this is where everything changes and goes ‘right’. I went to 20/20 (walk in @ 10am midweek) and asked them to check my glasses to ensure that the RX was correct/new RX. The front desk gal stated that was no issue and went to check my new glasses. After some time she came back and stated that they were in fact the new/correct RX and directed me to sit with Theresa and she would help me from this point forward. I explained everything to Theresa from initial eye appointment, incorrect glasses ordered, to today. Theresa was patient and listened to my recount and started at square one trying to figure out why my glasses weren’t working for me. Again, I walked in, with no appointment and they acted as if that was not an issue and addressed my concern at that moment and made it a priority to figure out what the problem was. Theresa reran the eye tests and even went so far as to redo the eye exam with Dr. Peterson and he did not seem put out or upset at the walk in or disruption in his schedule. He was great and redid the eye exam and between Dr. Peterson and Theresa my problem with my new glasses was addressed and new, new glasses have been ordered. Both Theresa and Dr. Peterson went over and above and gave me great and patient customer service. I would recommend both Dr. Peterson and Theresa to anyone and am extremely thankful for their assistance and time today.

Dr. Peterson is very amicable, but the management of the office has been notoriously bad... unfortunately, this will be my last attempt to work my eye care through this office. I have insurance with superior vision, and all the places I have used it prior to this 20/20 have been on top of what my plan allows. This is my second time around for glasses with this office, This office has a different perception of my plan, and its like Im in a car lot haggling for the right price. The staff IS NOT the same in the last 3 years, NO ONE is familiar! In fact the preliminary exam was done from someone in Tempe! The topper was, I picked out a pair of frames, @ $109.00... went in for my exam, went to get the lenses adjusted for progressive, and the person told me it was the wrong price for the frames, and that they were actually $169.00! stick a fork in me, Im done!

As many people can relate, Ive spent years trying to find a competent, skilled, and an overall caring Optometrist. Where other Optometrist have failed to fit my difficult eyes (Keratoconus patient), Dr. John Peterson went above and beyond to successfully fit me with Hybrid lenses, this has essentially changed my quality of life, and for that, Ill always be a 20/20 Image Eye Center patient. What really put the cherry on the top for me is the staff (Mike/Christina/Libby/Tara), I cannot praise them enough - they simply make coming in for an appointment a complete JOY - and I truly believe they care for my wellbeing. Dont make the same mistake I did spending years looking for the right Optometrist - Save some time and money, go to 20/20 Image Eye Centers Fountain Hills -Michael

The place is a joke Ive had nothing but bad service with 20/20 in town! From ordering contacts to calling them a week later for them to say oh we forgot to put the order in which then put me a week past my prescription from how many come in the box so they wouldnt let me order more unless I came in for another eye exam! Showed up for a appointments for them to say oh you appointment must of gotta cancelled! Got spares from them before.. And last week called to see if Icould get a pare or spare pair said yeah come on down got busy came a week later to pick them up and oh you cant get spares unless you order more contacts.. So now Im screwed for a week cause of some rule they never had in the past didnt even have a week ago! This place is a joke dont go to them!

The service was good . I didnt wait long . The doctor was freindly and knowledgeable. When i went to be processed out after picking out the frames the woman proccesing seemed to have trouble understanding my insurance coverage.she asked for 437 dollars payment i said my insurance covers everything then she insisted on a forty dollar payment which i said ok and gave her cash. I was supposed to receive a reciept via email for the payment which i have not recieved. I have checked with my human resources advisor who checked with our carrier who informed us that no payment should have been made if i could receive a copy of the receipt i can be rembersed. Overall I would recommend your buisness.

Christina gives very poor customer service. Her attitude is flippant and when I told her that I was never able to use my glasses, she asked why I never came in for a prescription check. I told her that this was my second pair of glasses (my first pair from 20/20), and I thought that I just needed to get used to wearing them since my prescription changed. She was defensive and arrogant. Get some one in there who isnt a bubble head who feels she has the power and right to disrespectful! Self Awareness is part of how we are perceived by customers. She is very unaware of how she comes across to patients/customers! Ignorance is not bliss.
