I was disappointed by the lack of sufficient staff, the unfulfilled promises, and the lack of organization. The first time I called, I was put on hold. I waited forever while an irritated-sounding employee informed me every few minutes that he was still helping another patient. By the time I asked a simple question about the price of my prescription, I looked down at the timer on my phone and realized that I had been waiting on the phone for over 30 minutes. I went into the store, ordered my contacts, and paid for them. The Costco optical staff said they would send me a text when the order arrived. Weeks passed and no text ever arrived. I called in and once again the staff sounded irritated and in a rush. He informed me that someone had come and picked up my order. Some mystery person who I have yet to locate. My eye doctor price matches (check and see if yours does too!) so youd better believe Im never using Costco Optical again if I can help it.

I have been in multiple times to ask questions and get my sons glasses/contacts, however I have never successfully purchased either there. I dont know why it takes me so many times to clue into the fact that this optical department should not be an option for me. Maybe because I love everything else about Costco, I keep giving them another chance. 4 times of disappointment. I think I have learned now! Always extremely busy, have to wait a very long time to even have questions answered, employees dont listen - just worried about getting the line of people taken care of, talk down to the patrons, I even saw one of the employees roll their eyes at the lady before me, which I thought was unwarranted.

Every time I have gone to the optical center at this location, it has been a disaster and very chaotic. First, employees dont know what customer service is and can be very rude and very short. Then when it came to looking up my insurance, one employee kept telling me I needed an ID # which I kept saying, our insurance Metlife does not require an ID # but he said he couldnt help me without it. I kept trying to find one for about 20 minutes and then another Costco worker asked if I needed help and I told her the situation and she said I didnt need a ID# and in 2 minutes find my information. They really should reevaluate who they have in that department because they are not helpful at all.

Doctor was top notch. Patient, thorough, knowledgable, etc. I then took the prescription out to the part that does glasses. The employee out there was super pushy and fast talking, pushing a bunch of stuff I didnt want which left me annoyed. In my case I wanted distance only prescription glasses and some over the counter readers. He insisted I would want the distance glasses, prescription sunglasses ($$$), and custom made readers that cost $80 versus the over-the-counters which were 3 for $20 (and matched my reader prescription perfectly fine). Just stand pat on what you want and ignore what they push. Again, the doctor was great.

Ive been disappointed with their optical center repeatedly. You can no longer order your contacts over the phone anymore, which is annoying if you dont have your prescription handy. This shouldnt be a big issue, however, after I tried ordering my contacts online the website made me re-enter my information five times and wouldnt allow me to check out. I ultimately decided it was too big a hassle and went to Spanish Fork instead. In addition, the customer service hasnt been very good either, and no one ever seems to be very thrilled when you call on the phone. Im at the point of no longer going to Costco to purchase my contacts.

I just called to ask a simple question and Mike who was the one that picked up the phone was very rude. I asked him how long it would take to get my new glasses if I had them filled my prescription and he said 7 to 10 business days. I was talking out loud to myself and I repeated what he said and he screamed back to me and said, "Yes, 7 to 10 business days. Do you need help with anything else?" So, that right there let me know that I am not going to do business with them. They are rude!

Bought a phone last week and almost shattered the screen. It is now covered in cracks. Literally from a two foot fall with a case on it. Told this story to the salesman with my receipt and was only told "sorry nothing I can do" will never purchase phone from costco again and will tell all my friends about this experience

Called to order contacts. A guy named Mike answered. Very rude and sounded pretty put off to be having to be helping customers while at work? He told me "ummm... there is a line here in front of me?? and I cant help you right now. Call back in 10 minutes" I wont call back in 10 minutes or quite possibly ever.

Impolite front desk help, they made me wait when I had an appointment (without apologies or explanation), they couldnt find a prescription when 1-800-Contacts called to confirm the copy I submitted online so my contact order was cancelled.

It says you can make an appointment on line and I cant find where. Not the brightest bulb but it still should be easy. That being said once you are there everybody is freaking wonderful!

I have been here a couple of times. My experience was great. I thought he was the best eye doctor I have seen in a while. No problems what so ever. My husband had the same experience.

The glasses were less than half of what we had paid at a doctors office for prior pairs, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the selection was great. Definitely sold!

Cheap, fast, wrong prescription. Went to the spanish fork one and they gave me an effective prescription, much different than the one given here.
