On our way to our destination, we did and unplanned stopped for a bite to eat here. The place was pretty busy, but typical for the great food that can be food at this American favorite chain restaurant. Our server, Nick, was very attentive and informative! Even though food service was slowed due to the influx of orders the manager was very kind and considerate offering attention to the guests in waiting. The staff did a great job through such a busy time. Everyone was smiling and friendly and most importantly my meal was completely satisfying. Well done guys! I wish we received this sort of service back home in Louisiana! I cant understand some of these reviews. I dont think some of these people have experienced truely unsatisfying service. In fact, most of the comments I read seemed like the staffed was new hires and just unexperienced or nervous and a lot of people dont or wont recognize things like that.

My husband and I stopped at the Cracker Barrel yesterday evening and I had the chicken and dumplings. When the waitress delivered our meals, the chicken and dumplings were only lukewarm and the dumplings were a mass of lumps of rubber, no flavor and very little chicken spread throughout the mess. I ordered mashed potatoes as a side with brown gravy and I have no idea what flavoring they used in the gravy, but it tasted really awful. Before ordering this item from the menu, I asked the waitress if this was any good and her reply was "Its just chicken and dumplings." Also, when she delivered the food, she dropped the check into my plate of food. We have always enjoyed going to Cracker Barrel, however after this experience, we will not be stopping anytime soon. By the way, this was dinner time and the parking lot and the restaurant was virtually empty and I have to wonder why!

My mom & I made the mistake of stopping here for lunch while on a long drive - it just so happened that new student orientation for University of Alabama was going on AND it was Sunday... so there were tons of Red Tide kids with parents and families of after-church diners that made the place packed. They were slow on getting people to tables (even for a table of 2) to the point that it was hard to move around the gift shop with so many people. The speaker is also terrible so its hard to hear your name getting called. Otherwise it was a standard trip to Cracker Barrel. Our waiter was friendly and the food was good.

Our waiter was pulled to go cook. Our new server had his tables plus hers. We waited at least 25 minutes for our food which he had took order. My order was wrong and had to be returned again I waited another 10 minutes or more to get it when I did the burger was thin and cold in spots. My french fries were cold and hard as was my daughters. I never received my coleslaw but my daughter gave me hers. It was spoiled we returned it to the waitness she said ok but offered nothing else. I was very disappointed in the food quality. Although the waitress was aware no effort was made to make it right.

This place has the wonderful old country feel provided by all Cracker Barrels. In my experience, this Cracker Barrel isnt as busy as others during Saturday and Sunday mornings, but you still may have to wait up to 30 minutes for a table. The wait goes fast, though, because you can browse around the retail store or play checkers outside while you wait... such great ideas! Definitely worth the wait because the food is great for a low price. If you are looking to be seated immediately try a weekday evening. The staff is wonderful and I have become a loyal customer!

Steak tasted lousy like metal dry and like a dog biscuit .Hash browns were soggy. Toast was late and untoasted. I had to spit out the meat and run to the restroom to vomit.I have at all over country at cracker barrel. This was the worst. I talked with the manager and he apologized and offered to replace the meal and the waitress was okay but why didnt the manager find out right away what happened with the food ? There is a thing called food poisoning! I will not go here anymore. Do yourself a favor and stop somewhere else!

Pretty typical Cracker Barrel. The food was good, the tea was overly-sweet, the service was friendly and prompt. Only point against them: the bathroom was really, really gross. Seriously. I dont know if they had a lot of people go through and hadnt had time to check the restrooms, but they needed serious care. It could have just been nasty people. It was also darker than a clean-feeling bathroom should be, so maybe that helped my imagination along. Brads wife wouldnt have let it get that bad!

Good food and good service! We were traveling and didnt really feel like going in to eat since we were all dressed very casual (sweats and pjs) so we ordered our food to go. For the most part it was all good. My roast beef was dry though, this was with gravy on top also. Potatoes were dry also, but the service was very helpful. We did show up and was told they were packing it up, but it still took 15 min to get it from that time and comment. Long pack up time.

Always a great place to pick up breakfast at anytime of the day or their wonderful chicken dishes. My only complaint at this particular cracker barrel is the fact that normally their silverware and glasses tend to be dirty when you check them... last time when I went they were clean but the last 3 to 4 times Ive had to replace my silverware 3 times so just be aware of it. No complaints about the good though as its always been good.

Best service Ive ever had at a Cracker Barrel...and it was the church lunch rush. Good enough that I tracked down to the manager to brag on it. From hosts to waiters to "pre bussing" the tables to keep it moving, this place rocked. Manager stood in front of fireplace to direct and he was teaching a guy to do the same. Cracker Barrel...promote this guy so he can be contagious.

Stopped off here from Meridian, Ms. on our way back to South Carolina... waited 30minutes for our table (common at any CB), our server was was good, but we waited 30 minutes for our food and it came out cold! Ended up taking almost 2 hours off our drive time for cold food, coffee and biscuits (at least the last two were hot). Excellent service, horrible kitchen.

Hostess had to come get out drinks because they were too busy and had too few servers. Im a server myself and I at least acknowledge my tables when I cant get right to them. My son and I waited 15 minutes for drinks and another 15 to order after we were ready. Then the food took 45 minutes. I love this place but I wont be back at breakfast time. Ever again

Ordered the daily lunch special which was the chicken pot pie! It was absolutely delicious and at a very affordable and great bang for the buck price of $5.99! If your own the road traveling on Wednesday and see a Cracker Barrel stop and treat yourself to one of their Chicken Pot Pies! If you have one where you live definitely go eat their on Wednesday!
