First let me start by saying that this is a great place for the kids and for anyone that want to know some history about Clarksville TN, so thats where the 3 stars come from. But there is a downfall to this, I also got married here and it was an okay experience. I felt rushed at times, I felt that we did everything that was asked of us in our contract but the museum failed to hold their end of the deal. We put down a deposit and was told we would receive it in a couple weeks, far from a couple weeks. We got married may 21st and we just received a check YESTERDAY 7/11/16, that is unacceptable. If I do everything Im suppose to do and oblige by the contract than I expect the same, it was very rude not to get calls back in regards to the issues, getting the run around, it was absolutely exhausting. So with all that said I will refer this place as a good place to visit and get knowledge on history but as far as events I wouldnt deal with them until they get more help with events because we had to deal with one person and she was always busy and not helpful at times at all.

The museum was very enjoyable. I love that exhibits rotate out so often to keep the context fresh. I felt there was a bit missing from some of the exhibits - some more explanation of the material, more background information, etc. for example, in the sports displays, there is a quote on the wall from a baseball player and a newspaper that presumably contains interesting information, but there is nothing to tell who said the quote, or what youre supposed to be looking for in the newspaper. For locals who have been here for a while, the information might be understood, but for someone who moved here less than a month ago, I was a bit lost. I love the Explorer area but would love to see it ramped up a bit and maybe the play grocery restocked with some more durable items. Painted wood blocks make great food packages. The membership is a fantastic value and I gladly purchased one for myself since I see myself going back often for the rotating exhibits, and my granddaughter can enjoy the Explorer area.

Indeed a tourist attraction. Yes its a nice place but it lingers on the Tobacco history a little much. Wasnt Cannabis Hemp grown there too? You think that Hemp would of played a more Historical Industrial role, being utilized during the war and all... Im just saying. I loved the ceramic art gallery, the REALLY huge multiple scale Railway in the basement, that beautiful female iguana in the gift shop, the display of the original peak/lightning rod from the old Mail building (the one destroyed in a tornado). air conditioned, steep walk with the kids back to the parking lot (that is attached to the Jails parking lot). Love the place... start pushing Cannabis history

A lovely museum with unlimited potential for future development. I recently visited with my ten-year-old son and was surprised by the small yet attractive amount of items on display. All of the exhibits were readily available and the place was immaculate. Although, it is a small museum it was certainly worth our time and there are plenty of exhibits to keep you busy for a couple of hours. As an added bonus they have an exploration and discovery area just for kids in the basement. My son fell in love with the bubble makers and kids supermarket.

I wish they were open longer! This is a great family oriented place with things for adults and kids alike- its good for any age group and they switch out themes and displays to keep things new and interesting. History, art and interesting exhibits! They do parties, too! They have a model train area thats exceptional! Very friendly operators.

Nice little place with lots of history. The trains look cool, but theyre only working on Sunday. Theres a large kids area in what I can only assume is the basement with a make believe "supermarket" with real empty food cartons. We were entertained for an afternoon.
