I tried to by a cannondale mountain bike from them, they said they would have it ready in 5 days, I paid for the bike in full, and two weeks later I still didnt have my bike. The originally told me in was in it was a special order, and that would take only 5 days to ship and assemble, but when I called two weeks later the manager tells me that it was going to take a month. I was upset so I kept calling them, and asking for a refund, and the manager kept telling me, NO REFUNDS ON SPECIAL ORDERS, but I didn t belive it was a special order, because they didnt let the color of the bike and they lied to me about delivery times even if it was. So I kept calling all day long, and then the manager finally says, "If you still want the bike you can come pick it up today." I was shocked, they just spent hours telling me it wasnt there, it was a special order , no refund, it was going to take 4-5 weeks for them to deliver it, and now, all of the sudden, I can come pick it up! I told the manager I only bought the bike there for the free lifetime service they offer, and If this was the kind of service they offered I was not interested in a lifetime of it. And I know that a bike is only as good as the person who builds it, and at that point I didnt want the people I had to argue with to build it on time, assembling it. So she said "Come in and get your refund." WOW! 6 hours on the phone and only then do can I get the refund I had the right to the whole time? Are you kidding me. Paragon Sports thought they were doing me a favor when they took over $400 of my money and held on to it for two weeks. If I want someone to hold on to my money, Ill go to a bank! The customer service made a joke of me every time I called, as if they grew tired of dealing with me. It was a terrible experience and that night I went to my local bike shop and within one hour I walked out with the very same bike, at the very same price, and none of the b.s. "Your Welcome" kind of attitude, they thanked ME for my business. Stores work to get you a product, you shouldnt have to work for your refund, when they refuse to deliver that product as promised. Last time I went in there three employees were looking at another employee help someone, when I asked them for some help, they look at the other employee helping the customer and said, "Im busy helping a customer" NO they werent, they were lazy and unhelpfull. I would not recommend shopping there. The customer service sucks!

I just got home after a visit to your store. Ive been a fairly loyal customer for the 10 years Ive lived in NY. In fact I went there today looking for bike shorts . . I prefered to buy them from you than from the Sports Authority. I like supporting local business over multinationals. I was ready to purchase the shorts, a bicycle pump and a patch kit (Im going on a 260 mile ride next weekend) (totaling over $150) when I remembered that I also needed a squeeze top for my "kleen kanteen" water bottle. I went to the bottle section and looked for just a bottle top, but I couldnt find one that was sold separately. Instead I found a little cardboard box, under the display, with some extra tops. I found the one that I needed, and asked the salesperson how much it would cost. He then went to find a manager to ask. Upon searching for 5 minutes, and then finally calling him on the phone, I overheard my salesperson asking how much it would cost me. To my surprise, the manager decided that I could not buy the extra top. I understand that the (practically worthless) top was not inventoried, nor does paragon usually sell them seperately, however, the one that I found was clearly an extra, and I was willing to pay for it. When I asked where I might be able to find one for sale, the salesperson told me to go to EMS. With that advice, I put away the pump, the shorts and the patch kit and Im on my way down to EMS now. Im really disappointed that Paragon couldnt sell me (or even give me) the top. Theyve been around for 100 years, I assume its because youve treated customers better than this. At no point was i disrespected, but I dont feel good spending my money with you when your sales policy is this nosensical! Id understand it from a large multinational, but not from an independently owned business. . .disappointment indeed! Just wanted you to know, particularly in a tough economy that were entering, you should take better care of your customers, not send them away. If you ever want me to come back to your store, please contact me. . . Im posting my experience in google reviews.

So , here is my Paragon shopping experience: I saw these skates online , they werent my size(7.5) , after 2 weeks I wanted to c if u sold them , u havent , but suddenly u had it my size (u had 2 skate- size 8), so I wanted to actually go try them on (in your Manhattan shop ) as written on your site , all that is on the site , there is in the store . Just to make sure , I called the shop and asked if they have it in stock (because when I was there before they told me there are no skates any more until new models will arrive) , giving them size and model number , they said YES . I went to the shop , waited to get noticed by the skating department sales men for 15 min , then he told there are no such skates , bringing out the guy who is responsible for stock , who personally told who ever spoke to you on the phone didnt know what they were talking about. So I go on their site , check again there is availability , and guess what ? there is. I convince my friend to take one pair as well , we buy two pairs with a swimming cap. After 5 days , we receive a confirmation letter, that says our payment has been accepted and our products are being shipped out!!!! I have been waiting every day for it , 3 days after the swimming cap arrives alone (weird as I ordered it all together) 5 days after the confirmation letter they write me an appolgy letter claiming product has been depleted upon shipping ! (after confirming 3 days earlier it has been SHIPPED ) As for contacting costumer service , NO REPLY ! Now thats what I call NO SERVICE.

I have to agree with the reviewers that say the people working the floor there have a bitter and inexcusable attitude. Ive gone to Paragon to buy several times, but only once did I ask for help from a rep when I went to go buy an item behind the counter. The person threw down two versions of the item with a scowl. I asked him what the difference was between the two and how to use them to which he answered. "one is wearable". While turning his head to look at someone else. He didnt answer the part about how to use it, but he was being so rude, I figured Id be better off figuring that out on my own. So I went with the cheaper item, he told me how much it was. Then TWICE over the next few minutes I tried to give him money for it, but he was busy looking at something else so he wasnt paying attention. I then said, "Here." so he would actually look at me and then with an attitude of annoyance said- "You need to pay HER over there." As he pointed to a woman a yard and a half away down the counter. She wasnt behind any cash register ( the register was behind both of them in the middle) so how I was supposed to know I had to walk over to her to pay is beyond me, but this guy acted like I was a complete moron for not knowing this. The girl who rang me up wasnt that much more pleasant either in our 5 second exchange. I couldnt believe I had actually spent the time and money on a cab to go to this place. Next time Im sticking with buying from Amazon.
