I have been a customer of Walgreens for many years. There had been a few problems in the past like they didnt have an item or, because of a big sale, they had run out. These things happen, when it is an especially great sale and I really want the item I get a raincheck. Because I cant always get out every week (Im disabled) I cannot always pick up the item (with my rain check) right away. This is what happened to lead up to todays really poor customer service for me. On 4/10/17, I went to the Walgreens on Washington Ave. in San Leandro (the store closest to my home that I really like). I was looking for lemon drops. There happened to be a sale on Brachs Lemon Drops (my favorite) that was Buy One and Get One Free. However, there was only one left. I went to the cashier and asked if I could buy this one today, and I get the free one later, when more come in. She failed me in two ways. First, she didnt tell me to save the receipt to show I had purchased one. Second she wasnt clear on the rain check that I was to receive a free brachs lemon drops because they only had one left. Today I went in to the same store and gave them my rain check and asked if I could have a free brachs lemon drops. The cashier called for the manager (whose name I do know.Just that she was a short Asian woman). When the manager saw the rain check she would not honor it. I looked at the rain check and realized the cashier did not specify that I had already purchased one item and that I should receive another item free. Even though I should have had the receipt and took a better look at the rain check, I believe that for a $1.50 item (it was on sale again, this time it was 2@ $3.00), the manager should have for customer service purposes, honored the rain check. I have been in that store many times and have given them a lot of my business. I was deeply insulted and felt like they did not care about me as a customer. That is why I gave such a low rating today. I know there are rules but I worked many years in customer service/relations and know there are always exceptions. An unhappy customer. Diane King*

I hate the pharmacy its the slowest walgreens in the eastbay. My whole family goes here we all have the same family doctor and go to the same pharmacy. So that being said this is our local pharmacy I come often to walgreens but the pharmacy is ridiculous they have a long line all the time you could wait up to 90 minutes or more. The drive thru is worse today the girl working there did not speak fluent English and had a bad Asian accent that almost had me go inside to go bi - polar on her because she doesnt speak English but had a attitude like Im the one thats a born and raised out of this country. If I have to spell your name letter by letter with a word for example J as in James A as in Adam N as in Nancy E as in Edward there is a serious PROBLEM. So after all that I had to pick 6 meds she lied and told me the doctor never sent the prescription for my pain killers so I left with 5. I called my doctor next morning she sent me a email conformation of the date it was sent with the rest, should have been all together. No ANABELL had to screw it up so I was in pain for 2 days almost went to emergency. Walgreens store is great, the manager big guy is very nice store mostly organized and clean. Pharmacy negative stars - - - - * unorganized, high turn over, thinking me and my family should find a new pharmacy!

they are total incompetent idiots. the pharm. "francis" made the same mistittake TWICE and couldnt figure out the correct prescrip. if her idiot life counted on it - all while jibber jabbering spreading ugly gossip and badmouthing about her co-workers that all the ailes can hear. the tech "maryann" couldnt fill out the simplest forms and had mistakes over and over and over. talking to a rock would be more efficient - the rock would also have less attitude. "maryann" was incomprehensibly rude and hostile while she was making nonstop mistakes, perhaps angry at her own lack of brain cells or un-intelligible snarky brain dead approach to offend and drive customers away - the ppl that u know, PAY their salaries!! total waste of time. that location is full of rude, unprofessional, useless, worthless imbeciles that offends you to no end!! such a pain...now have to switch to anotherf shop that might be less full of worthless, ineffective, unapproachable imbeciles ?!

This is for the pharmacy. I agree wholeheartly with the low scores, this pharmacy is a monumental colossal waste of my time, even at slow times, expect to spend 1/2 hr here just for pickups. I handed the technician my corporate prescription insurance card and he asked "what is this?" REALLY? where do they find these "professionals?" You know you got a problem when at the simplest requests, they looked at the computer screen like "uh, what do I do now." Then stupid Walgreen make me sign up for their rewards card, I let them because well, they may keep my info on file and next visit should be easier right. A BIT FAT NO. Who is your insurance? (what didnt I gave it to you that last time?) then when I give them the card, they stare at it, loooooong and hard, like they never seen it before. Unbelievable incompetence. I hope they dont give you the wrong pills.

Positives: 24 hours stocked for my childs needs(only this location) Contact the Doctors office for you (for whatever reason (other pharmacies tell you, you need to call ur Doctor) The earlier the better refills times & lines are non existent in the am especially (Wednesday before noon) Negatives: Wait time inside & out(depending on time of day) Theyre always slow & behind at every location (20mins-1.5 hours on refill time) Language barriers (competency) Follow up calls or faxing insurance/doctors (They forgot & I called after a week of waiting on a TAR) Im w/CVS because it works for me. My daughter cant wait for cvs to order meds to fill prescriptions so thats the only reason I deal w/Walgreens. Otherwise wed both be CVS fans! Every pharmacy has its pros & cons so pick what works best for your needs... I HOPE THIS HELPED :)

My experience here was horrible i got riddaculed for not having a real i.d. instead of my temporary issued by the d.m.v. that had the California seal on it, they even said they were out of stock when they were unboxing new meds lol, do i look like im blind and stupid? And on top of that when i tried different stores they said they would not fill because i didnt live in that city, i went to lucky finally 3 days later and the pharmacist there was delighted to help me even when i was upset and venting she treated me like an actual human being. I cant wait till someone sues them for pain and suffering because they think we all who take pain pills are loaded and addicted. Lol

Walgreens is NOT OPEN 24 HOURS . THEYRE OPEN 22.5 HOURS !! After spending 3.5 hours at Eden hospital , I went home , planning to fill my prescriptions in the morning . After failing to sleep because of being sick , I went online to see if there was a 24 hour pharmacy . I found Walgreens. I then called , just to make sure they would be open . The automated system told me they were open . So I drove down there , only to find a sign on the pharmacy saying "back at 3:15 am . It was 2 am . I was so pissed off I almost wrecked my vehicle driving back home . F#@k Walgreens !!!! This review is actually 0 stars .
