My husband and I just moved from LA to SD and we are going to buy two bikes. Day number 2 of living here we stopped by the closest bike store and left within 90 seconds. The guy working there started off strong, we received a greeting and a question, "hi, what brings you in today?" All down hill from there. I began to respond, "we just moved here and looking into buying...." Friendly guy cuts me off and starts talking to someone else in the store and so my husband and I wait a few seconds and quickly realize we no longer exist. I would have preferred to not been interacted with at all rather than an ungenuine question with no intent to listen or help. Does anyone want to take our money for 2 adult bikes?

Brought my bicycle in last week with a few questions regarding maintenance and was also looking for some new pedals. Two gentlemen behind the counter were chatting while one worked on a bike as I walked in. I was paid no attention, so I browsed the merchandise and checked out the shop for a minute or two. Still no hello. I walked up to the counter and stood there while they ignored me for about another 60 seconds before I walked out. Ill never be back. Too many great bicycle shops in SD that have personable and helpful staff.

Great neighborhood bike shop! First time here was 7 years ago when I bought a beach cruiser for under $100. Rode it everywhere for 5 years without any problems. Recently stopped in needing air in tire and some advise on needed repairs. Ryan was very friendly and seemed to know his stuff. He suggested several different repair options, allowing me to choose what I could afford. I will definitely be returning to have the work done here. Well done Thomas Bike Shop!

Theyve always got nice folks working here, I love their bike repair guys. I want to love this bike shop, its right in a great community, and they sell good second hand bikes, but the owners will go off on racist rants against Mexican immigrants, how theyre ruining our schools etc. So nice employees, racist owners. Decide for yourself if you want to spend your money supporting that. I take my business elsewhere.

Slow service, simple repairs can take over 2 days. Prices are average. The thing that irked me the most is that it calls itself a community bike shop yet they wont let you use their tools(i asked for a pedal wrench), even in their shop! The worker said that its the owners policy. Ive never seen any other bike shop with such a policy and they permanently lost my business because of it.

Think bike shops should look more like a garage than a gelateria? Go to Thomas. They know what theyre doing and are happy to help, but will probably rather get back to working on bikes. Let em, theyre good at it, and good for the community. Just look at the stray late-teenagers they harbor like an after school program. (only the last sentence should be read as sarcasm, serio.)

Great neighborhood bike shop. They also support the local and state bicycle advocacy with big donations, unlike allot of bigger bike shops. They also sponsor lots of bike events locally and nationally. Get your bike fixed here and you support a good community business that supports the biking community, which is a great two for one.

Was behind a young couple in line and the "man" behind the counter double charged them for a full service tune up (supposed to be $50 but charged $100) because they didnt know much about bicycles. Im disgusted. If people dont know the base price, dont create a new one for your sake.

My experience with Thomas Bike Shop was very similar to a sleazy used car dealer. Very unprofessional to say the least. Before I could properly explain what I needed they had my bike up on the work stand trying to replace things that I did not want replaced. Go to another shop.

Been coming here since my childhood days and every time i try a different shop i find myself coming back here to get the mistakes made on my bike by the other shop corrected. Nicest, realest people. Love it here.
