I have never owned sunglasses before. I got a Groupon and decided to give them a try. I wanted to support a small business. These were to be a birthday gift and I was planning on using them on a planned vacation. I did order my glasses over 6 weeks before my vacation. The guy who helped me was real nice and I was very excited for my birthday sunglasses to arrive. When they did arrive, the lenses were not done right so I had to send them back the day I got them. I was told they would be ready for my vacation... I waited another two weeks and when I did not hear from them I stopped by. I was told that one of the lenses again came back incorrect. I again asked if they would be done in time for my trip. I was told they would be done before Monday, as I was leaving on Wednesday, and that I would be called. Well..... Its Tuesday.... and they are closed. No call from them and now it is off to my vacation without my new glasses. I am disappointed in the fact that they never called as they said they would, and that even with over 6 weeks of planning I still do not have my product. Even with telling them I had an early Wednesday morning flight, they did not let me know that they are closed on Tuesdays. I will never shop here again or recommend them to anyone. I want to support small businesses, but now feel that I would have the product I wanted for vacation if I had gone to a more organized company. What a let down.

What a delightful experience. I am an older man who went into this small shop just to see what it might have available for frames. I am quite conservative and the person who helped me grabbed a frame and said, "This is what you would look good in." I tried them on and now have them permanently. I was so pleased with the experience, I went back two weeks later to get a pair of sunglasses fitted. It was another genuine experience for the better. I needed help with my first pair of glasses and the owners took care of things within minutes, so I could rush back to work. Nice job gentlemen, you have my business. This is the first pair of glasses I have had over the many years that people have complimented me on...even people I do not know. Glad I found your business. Keep up the good work. Bob Feb 10, 2012

love love love my new glasses!! I get more compliments from complete strangers (and friends, but do they count?) than I ever have on my faux wood geek chic styled cat-eye frame. I found this TINY little store just a half block down from Bryant Lake Bowl using a Groupon... I doubt I ever would have found them without the "deal" -- Seriously, Their selection of hip frames is better than any of the top eye glass boutiques in town (and Ive shopped them all) but whats more is that you can hardly believe their prices. They helped me pick the perfect pair for my face shape, and the service was great. Check them out before you shop the other boutiques and pay more.

These guys will hook you up. They know EXACTLY what will fit your face the best. I felt transformed. they picked out what had to be the most perfect frames in the store for me, and I watched several other people go through this transformation as well. I stepped outside of my comfort zone and was rewarded with some stylish teal beauties that matched my eyes. TRUST THEM. THEY ARE EXPERTS. These also dont feel the same as cheap frames. They dont slide down my nose when Im reading and dont feel obtrusive when I lie down. A+. It is worth it to pay for good frames, and they will help you find the best looking ones for your face. Nice people too.

Dr. Hegamo is a great optometrist if you need to go in for an examination. Frames seemed fairly affordable except that they sell the frame on the shelf as is. Found TWO frames that I really liked and decided against getting either other them because of defects in the frame. I asked the employee there if they could order the same frames and he said, "The frames are as is. We sell only whats up here. If you dont like the defect then you probably dont want to get them." I asked if he could knock down the price a bit then. "Nope." Okay then - business taken elsewhere.

Great value! I was searching for new glasses and came across their Groupon and gave it a shot since the deal seemed so good. Great decision! I got the frames, lenses and everything for under 2 hundo and they look great! I didnt have to wait long for the frames either. Staff is very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. They even went out of their way to call another store for my prescription. The location is smaller, but they have a great selection and its worth your time to check them out as their prices are very competitive and their service is great!

Haven’t had glasses in years. Decided to try Uptown Eyeswear first after researching all the local shops and finding a Groupon. Salesman named Tom helped me choose a fitting style after trying on half the store. Laid back no pressure atmosphere where you can take your time. After getting home from picking the glasses up I noticed a small dent on the front of frames. They replaced my glasses and let me keep the damaged ones, free of charge. Overall outstanding service, great frame selection, and I’ll be going back here for my next pair.

Fantastic service! Ive found that they put US (the customers) first, which I value. I had a pair of frames that I purchased from the shop, but ended up not wearing them much because of the way they fit. The next time I was in the shop, I was asked how my frames were working out for me. I voiced my concerns and ended up getting them exchanged free of charge! WOW! I definitely didnt expect that kind of service. Bravo! I wear my new frames all the time now, and love the way they look on me (thanks to the shops suggestions!!)

Ive been going to Uptown Eyeswear since they first opened, drawn in by a Groupon/Living Social deal. I have since gotten 4 pairs of glasses and sunglasses there. They do a fantastic job making sure the frames you try on fit your face and style (plus theyre pretty hip). Whats really awesome is that when I pop in to get my frames tightened or adjusted they remember who I am and provide excellent customer service. I recommend this spot to anyone who needs corrective lenses.

Owner spent a lot of time with me answering questions, and more importantly, helping me pick out a frame that would look ok on me. I liked that he was very upfront in his opinion - if he didnt like something on me, he told me, which is something I needed to hear as I had no idea what I should go for. He wound up helping me pick out an excellent pair of glasses after spending a long time due to my indecisiveness. Highly recommended.

What a GREAT experience! I have been wearing glasses all my life and this place is above and beyond the rest. I walked in and was greeted right away. They got out a tray and let me look around ( as I requested) without the usual in your face sales pitch and pressure to buy. I picked a few and they picked some they thought I would like. I got one of the pairs they choose. Very pleased with my glasses and they came on time.
