To the staff who racial profiled and followed me and my friends during our visit to the store I got a few things to say. First, I suggest you treat people with respect instead of branding them as thieves. Second, dont follow me and my friends around simply because you think we are up to something. The fact that you kept an eye on us but not the rest of the clients who were also at the store says a lot about the type of person you are. Third, before accusing us of stealing I suggest you have the information needed to back ur statements up. The staff accused my friend of stealing a jacket he had just purchased. Not to mention my friend had his recipe with him and showed the staff members that he has just gotten the jacket. Also the ringer who had helped my friend denied seeing him buy the jacket. This was truly absurd and should never happen regardless. Tip of advise... Dont judge a book by its cover.

After needing to wait a few hours for a book to be printed for one of my classes I went to the cafe next door to wait. When one of the employees got off work he saw me and came to let me know it was ready. Saved me a couple hours of waiting, service was great.

Expensive as is typical for campus bookstores, but staff is helpful and they have a creative and quirky selection of slug swag for sale and the store is easy to get around and clean. Come here for UCSC gear, not office depot stuff or textbooks.

Overpriced mediocre apparel. The quality is generally not good for any of their apparel and starts to fall apart after a few washes. Meanwhile the books and office supplies they offer are all overpriced.

Convenient place to buy school supplies, toiletries, medicine, and banana slugs. Helpful staff. Prices could be a bit better but hey, your paying for convenience.
