I went to SSU for undergrad before moving to MN for grad school. After a few years away, we came home to visit family. So, my boys and I went to northlight to get some books. I was hoping to get a couple academic, challenging books for my husband and I to read on our upcoming trip without the kids so I thought northligjt might have some good options. While there, I found a few books I was interested in so I grabbed 2 of each book I wanted to purchase (one for me and one for my husband) and placed them in our stroller. The employee/owner came over and said that they were expensive textbooks and that she asks that my kids not touch them and proceeded to grab them from the stroller. I informed her that I was going to purchase them. She responded with "really!? You were going to buy 2 of each?" to which I responded yes. Im not sure if she didnt believe I would be purchasing them or if they just arent family friendly. I was taken aback so I put the books back and left. I was prepared to spend a few hundred on summer books for my husband and I but will not return. Ill be checking out the campus store or Barnes and nobles instead.

Employee working was incredibly rude to me both times I went there. She intervened in my conversation with my friend and put us down. Do not suggest, the rude employment is not work saving $5. Also run fact for summer school students, they charge full price for summer rentals even though the time allowed is a 1/3rd of the regular time allowed.
