Its 8:01 on a Saturday morning and Ive already been awake for two hours, thirty minutes of those two hours Ive been on the road. Im pretty grumpy right now, but you know what MIGHT cheer me up? My nice, hot cup of coffee. You know what MIGHT make me even grumpier? Unfriendly, inattentive employees at the coffee house. As I walked into the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, I made immediate eye contact with and smiled at the female employee at the register. No smile. No "good morning". She turned and started walking towards the far end of the counter. My smile quickly turned to frown. I stood at the register, waiting to place my order for a few minutes while her back remained turned to me. Thinking she might be busy, I felt like I waited a long enough time before I called out "good morning" in her direction. Instead of acknowledging my greeting, she turned, walked to the register and said "What can I get started for you?". I ordered my black coffee. I paid. She turned around and poured the coffee. She handed it to me. Thats it. No "have a good day". No "here you go". Look, I get it. I didnt want to have to work at MY JOB Saturday morning either. Sometimes, that just happens. Especially if youre going to work in a coffee house, I kinda feel like you gotta be that "ray of sunshine" for the customers; not an over the top, so happy youre annoying type, but, at least pleasant. Since the Coffee Beans coffee is pretty good black, the rating is based primarily on the experience. Oh, and in case youre wondering, I made it to MY job that morning grumpier.

King of Eden

Lived up in Chino for over a year for school and this became my go to place to study almost every night after school. The vibe of the place is night and helps me focus. The drinks are great my personal favorite was the caramel ice blended. The staff was generally friendly & polite but i have had a few instances where a barista or two would give a little attitude, but overall most were very friendly. Holly was my favorite barista, very friendly and sweet girl~ go to her for the best Malibu Dream :)

I‘ve been going to CBTL and Starbucks for three years. I can‘t compare their coffee but the services are quite different. The staffs in the Starbucks near my house don‘t bother to greet me. Most of the staffs at CBTL are very friendly and enthusiastic. For example, the guy served tonight always smiles and sometimes brings me my coffee if he‘s not too busy. There‘s a slim girl who‘s been working for several years is very friendly too.

The team that covers this CBTL are awesome. Great service no matter who is behind the counter providing service...all the baristas are super. Coffee is awesome. Place is very clean and the vibe is chill out relax mode..love this place. Love the staff love the coffee made very good all the time! CBTL Im addicted and love this particular CBTL!

Needed a quick caffeine rush. Came here because it was nearby. Asked what kind of beans they had, they told me they had just regular beans. Double espresso over ice with regular beans was just that. Regular. three stars.
