Their fabulous sour cream raisin pie inspired me to change a couple of words in the following Edgar A. Guest poem. I changed "chunk o " to "sour cream." Otherwise, the sentiment is perfect! Raisin Pie By way of: Edgar A. Guest Theres a heap of pent-up goodness in the yellow bantam corn, And I sort o like to linger round a berry patch at morn; Oh, the Lord has set our table with a stock o things to eat An theres just enough o bitter in the blend to cut the sweet, But I run the whole list over, an it seems that somehow I Find the keenest sort o pleasure in a sour cream raisin pie. There are pies that start the water circulatin in the mouth; There are pies that wear the flavor of the warm an sunny south; Some with oriental spices spur the drowsy appetite An just fill a fellows being with a thrill o real delight; But for downright solid goodness that comes drippin from the sky There is nothing quite the equal of a sour cream raisin pie. Im admittin tastes are diffrunt, Im not settin up myself As the judge an final critic of the good things on the shelf. Im just sort o payin tribute to a simple joy on earth. Sort o feebly testifyin to its lasting charm an worth, An Ill hold to this conclusion till it comes my time to die, That theres no dessert thats finer than a sour cream raisin pie.

During a getaway weekend in Wabasha, we wandered across the Mississippi to see the Little House in the Big Woods wayside. Afterwards, without knowing anything about Stockholm, we drove north from Pepin into this delightful little town. We enjoyed looking through the shops, but the only thing we bought was a chocolate pecan pie ($18) from the pie company. It was a heavenly blend of chocolate chips and milk chocolate covered with white chocolate, coconut, pecans, and crispy sliced almonds. This is not a chocolate mousse -- it is gooey dense chocolate, with enough calories per slice to cover you for half a day. We cant wait to get back to try the other flavors ...

Janet Garretsons pie shop is so good. Everyone who goes there walks out happy.. and a little jealous. I worked behind the counter for a little while and I heard a lot of customers start comparing pie recipes with Janet, but always admitting that the pies at Stockholm Pie Company were better. Its a beautiful setting, a lovely restaurant and a really, really cool town. The whole experience is wonderful.

I went here based on the terrific recommendations. We purchased a whole cherry pie. While the crust was lovely, the filling was overly, cloyingly sweet and had an overabundance of almond extract which detracted from the natural cherry flavor. All in all an adequate pie, but at the price of $25.00 I found it lacking for the price. This is not going to be a return trip.

Stopped in for lunch earlier today whilst circumnavigating Lake Pepin. Ordered the turkey sandwich (Item No. 1 on the menu board). Price was $8.49 before tax. Nothing special about it--average sized, average taste, but it was certainly premium priced. I would not have paid more than $6 for it. Restaurant ambience was decent.

Pie was fantastic! Definitely recommend the Triple Choclate Pecan! However, they were out of Lunch Pies, and the sandwhiches did not have very much in them, and seemed lacking compared to all of the good buzz I had heard. Not the best place for lunch, but the pie definitely made up for it. Its a great place for dessert!

Been there a few times now, will go back, often.... wow They just started a blueberry pie that was amazing, and the cherry was one of the best i have ever had, tart and amazing. Had lunch too, amazing sandwich - loved the cranberry compote stuff they made. My sister had the chickpea salad - spice and awesome she said.

We were here in a holiday weekend and it was busy busy- but staff were handling the crowds well, wth good cheer and a fair amount of hustle. There is extra seating in a second room. Charming spot- delicious apple pie. Two small outdoor tables for good people watching.

I love pie, especially apple. We stoped in Stockholm on a mini vacation and so enjoyed the unique shops and beauty of this small village. But the best was the pie. Seriously, I dream about this pie and consider making the three hour drive only to have it again.

They make a good chicken pot pie and the butterscotch cream pie was good, as well. But... do I really need to tip if I dont have a waitress? It was really intimidating at the cash register and I felt obligated. I dont think Ill go back there, very awkward.

I recently purchased one of Bacon/Pear/BleuCheese pot pies to take home and bake.. It was absolutely divine. I will be making a special trip to purchase some of the Pot Pies to take home and bake.. I want to try the Apple/Pecan pie next time.

The prices here were way too high, even for a tourist location. We had to wait in a very long line and they seemed short staffed. They were also running out of popular items we specifically stopped for.

Excellent pie! Service OK. A nice little place in a sleepy little town. Morning hours are not good though, they open really late if you are looking for a coffee and breakfast.
