Been going to elegant farmer since I was a small child. Always good food. But today is the day that final straw broke the camels back. For the last couple of years I have noticed a major set of attitudes behind the counter where the sandwiches and soups are sold. As time has progressed, so have the attitudes and severity of them. But nothing compares to what happened today. Every one of the women had attitudes today. Screaming at customers, refusing to serve certain customers, swearing amongst themselves and just general un-acceptable behavior from people that service the general public. It was clearly obvious that my wife was being refused service because of her racial appearance. The women behind the counter yelled at her and refused her service when she asked for a large cup of soup. To say that I wanted to reach across the counter and punch that old bag right in the mouth was an understatement. But as a person who doesnt discriminate and who tries to show respect in times like this, I kept my cool, kept my mouth shut and just kept moving through the line. Now Im at home and sitting behind a computer writing this review, Im going to offer up a piece of my mind. All of you angry old hags that work behind that counter, get a clue! You are supposed to greet ALL customers with respect and courteousness. Check your attitudes at the door! Its your job! If I ever go to shop at Elegant Farmer again, I am going call out every single one of you hags in front of all the customers just so you can get a taste of how rude and inconsiderate you really are. What I really hope is... That somebody that has authority over all of you, reads this review and walks in and fires your asses and throws you out in the parking lot in front of the customers. That would be fitting. Oh, I just happen to have a video of this whole ordeal today that I can post up on YouTube. Hope your all giant FAIL sensations. The only reason you have 1 star is because I cant post this review with ZERO stars!

I rarely write google reviews. I took my two boys there to pick pumpkins, we just moved to the area and heard good things about the elegant farmer. We got there at 1 and left around 3, 2 of those hours we literally were waiting in line, and not because it was a busy day. We waited on a tractor to get us to and from the pumpkin patch which was a waste anyway because we could only carry two small pumpkins since they didnt have wagons or anything to carry multiple pumpkins once you got to the pumpkin patch. They told us there was no entry fee, but we had to pay to get on the tractor (for 3 of us it was $8) to even be able to get pumpkins, then the pumpkins were completely overpriced. A tiny pumpkin that my 3 year old easily carried was $5 (they said it was medium, but it was about a pound). Save your money and find another farm to go pumpkin picking at.

The foods and drinks here are EXCELLENT!!! The Apple Pie is especially good. It is also a regular stop on the East Troy Electric Railway, so you can grab a snack, then grab a trolley to East Troy, or go the other direction to Indian Head Park in Mukwonago. The Elegant Farmer has a simple deli, a very nice bakery, and lots of specialty foods that you might not be able to find anywhere else. Their selection of popcorn kernels is unsurpassed!!! So if you are a popcorn lover, and like to make your own, youll really appreciated the Elegant Farmer. And their apple cider is amazing as well! However, do realize this is a RUSTIC market, with outdoor outhouses, and a handful of picnic tables for dining. Not to be confused with a yuppified Whole Foods. Because of that, I give the Elegant Farmer my highest recommendation.

They have a lot of different kinds of apples. There are many people picking, and the lines are long, but youre less likely to get there and find they have run out. We went to another place south of Rawson today, but they ran out of apples. Their hayrides are fun. Their store is quaint and they have so many interesting things to buy that I could barely stop myself from picking up more things than I needed. Everything is slightly pricey, but thats what keeps the place running, I suppose. Some interesting stuff on sale there are: -Black currant and other kinds of scone mix -No sugar added spreadable fruit -Gourmet candied apples -Delicious Toffees at the counter. All in all, you can make a field day with your kids at this place.

Walked in and at first glance it looks nice. Our family was starving and looking for a meal and the famous pie. We needed to us the washroom first to freshen up. The washrooms were all out of toilet paper, overflowing garbage and all out of soap. After then seeing how bad that was we completely questioned how sanitary any of the workers could possibly be. To top it off, the deli meat, the only option for real food looked like it came from Walmart. Severely disappointed and drove away feeling bamboozled and starving.

The pumpkin patch is a sham, but I wont dock a star for it. They just buy pumpkins and leave them out in the field for the kids. The make your own carmel apple is cool. The pick your own apples is okay, but not realistic. If you really pick apples you have to pick the tree completely clean (not just grab the easy ones.) The store is amazing and earns them the full five stars. So many things you dont see elsewhere. You cant leave without an apple pie (which is the only one even close to the one my mom makes. )

Going to the Elegant Farmer for their Autumn Harvest Festival has become an annual tradition for our family. In addition to being able to pick apples and pumpkins, we enjoy visiting the market and purchasing their apple pies, chicken pot pies, soup mixes, breads, and plenty of other unique items you wont find in regular grocery stores. And for the little ones, they always have pony rides. All in all it makes for a delightful family outing that we look forward to every year.

PERFECTION. The best pie you will taste this side of heaven. Nobody is pickier than I am. Nobody. With that said, this is the most delicious apple pie you will ever enjoy. High quality and care!! Worth every single penny. For those who expect to get this kind of quality for 6 bucks a pie at Jewel - they are deluded. Life doesnt work that way. You cant have both. These are the same sort of folks who complain one way or the other. Quality isnt cheap.

I love this place. I have been going here off and on for 15 years. It is pricey, but that is because it is a family farm. The food has always been amazing. I have to laugh at the negative comments on here flatlanders...really. $8 for 3 people to ride a ride to get pumpkins..a similar ride in Indiana and Pennsylvania is $20. The bathrooms...really..ruined your whole trip. People, you need to experience the farm and the family and stop complaining about everything.

If you buy any of the muffins Id ask if they are fresh first. I was there yesterday and bought two blueberry muffins. I put them in a plastic bag to keep them fresh overnight but when we tried to eat them this morning they were so dry we couldnt eat them even after nuking them and putting butter on them. We have bought breads, cheeses and pies from there and they have always been excellent.
