sunday, june 19th, around 8 :30 am was coming out from whole foods when i heard barking coming from a car parked right next to whole foods, full morning sun, no shade , windows closed. i waited for about 2 minutes to check on the dog, he was barking and panting, jumping from the seat under the dashboard and panting and up on the seat. i went back to the store to ask if the would do public announcement, that there is a dog in distress, they wouldnt BECAUSE THE CAR WAS NOT ON THEIR PROPERTY!!! and its against their policy... wtf???, what if there was a child ?, thats the stupidest thing i have heard. i called the police, was even asked by them if the store could go on a pa, couldnt belive that they wouldnt, owner came out about 5 minutes later, seemed contrite, which is good but...the response of Whole Foods was callous, insensitive and unacceptable. i have been loyal customer from beginning but not anymore, i am simply disgusted by them.

I have to give the people at the cash registers 5 Stars. But, 1 Star overall, because while talking to the purchaser in bulk bins about some dried fruit I think that I may have annoyed him with questions about a particular dried fruit that he purchases...to the point that he suggested that I go buy a dehydrator, and then buy large quantities of the fruit, and dry them myself. People that believe in the cause of eating healthy and nutritional healing should not get annoyed at people that are buying into the belief themselves and have questions. If people treat you like you are a nuisance, then they should have suitable competitors. Not to mention some unusual customer that was just hovering around me, and watching me while I was trying to shop the bulk bin section. For that reason 1 Star pretty much sums it up. Aoudhubillahi.

I have been going to Whole Foods in Milwaukee for the last three years and I have only had great experiences. The staff is always willing to help and will go above and beyond to help you find what you are looking for or suggest/recommend an alternative. I have used numerous products from the beauty department and have been happy with most of the products I have purchase. The products I decided were not for me, I was able to easily return even if they had been tested. The only thing I am sad about is that they took their shrimp bar away - was some of the best prepared shrimp that was convenient and tasted delicious! I usually pay attention to the numerous sales and coupons they offer and then am able to stay within my grocery budget. They also have one of the best gluten free breads around - the Prairie Bread - try it!!

Their coffees are the best Ive found, subjectively, especially the Ethiopian Yirgachef and the Ecuadorian. They have a large selection of vegetarian foods including veggie-meat, although some of it is available much cheaper in Trader Joes. They have an interesting wine and ale selection. However -- I have tried their buffet around 5-6 times over the past few months and I am always dissapointed by a lack of flavor and spice. I understand that this might actually be popular with some people, but I like my food tasty. Also my very average size lunch serving runs 12-14$. A bit expensive for a buffet, I think. In my opinion, stay away from the buffet, but a lot of their other stuff is pretty good although it can be very expensive.

Racial profiling goes on here , My husband and a friend were having a beer and talking to two other guys. They were watching news about the Trump press conference. One man, who just happened to be Hispanic, was refused service. I mean, he had at one beer and was clearly over the limit! And my husband, who happens to be African American, stood up for him. All were refused service and ask to leave. Enforced by whole foods "guard". Did I mention that my husband and his friends are attorneys ? Not that that should matter but shows you that all Whole Foods can see is color. And they complained and management stood by decision. No call back from Whole Foods yet with my complaint. Never going to any Whole food ever again !

We love the store. Just wish it were not quite so expensive. But about the store. The deli is good. Soups vary a lot, so dont get too attached. Buffet bar lets you put it together however you want. If you want falafel and couscous, you can do that. Minor complaint--there are no small containers. Sushi bar is very nice. Olive bar is nice. The hamburger BBQ bar always good. Beer and wine selection are good. Have not tried the coffee bar--too many good coffee places in the neighborhood. In the winter, we appreciate the parking garage. No wading through a slushy parking lot with groceries.

Did some light shopping and wasnt counting my items... I parked on the street by the 10 items or less counter and thought it more convenient because I had my child with me...I guess it wasnt appropriate, as the cashier told me where the other checkout counters were, for next time (I had 16 items) There was no one in line initially, but I guess after the two other people got in line behind me, I was holding it up. Ill be parking on the other side of the building for next time... If there even is one. This was my first real go at trying to shop here

I usually love Whole Foods and do not mind paying more for good food. The last two times I have shopped there the seafood I purchased was spoiled. The first time the calamari steaks reeked of ammonia(I cooked them the day I bought them). The second time I got the seared tuna sashimi at the sushi bar - it was so foul I had to spit it out. When I looked at the sell by date it was for tomorrow 5/13/14 and it was packed on the 10th. Sashimi does not stay good for that long. I am disappointed that I cannot trust that the seafood here is fresh.

Geez! reading the other reviews makes me wonder about people. The employees at the Milwaukee Whole Foods are over-the-top excellent, happy, smiley, helpful! Ever catch one of them shuffling to the music selections of the day? I have! The problems with fresh meat and fish is easily solved. Take your receipt back and tell them. Best customer service ever. Pricey? Lately theyve been having some great sales! Prices on things that are better than prices weve seen elsewhere! Love these guys!

Whole Foods has a pilot program selling domestic rabbit meat. Rabbits are the third most popular pet in this country. It makes no sense to betray customers who have routinely purchased cruelty free personal care products, vegetarian foods, and greens for their pet rabbits from WF when youre now trying to create a market for the carcasses of their pets. Check the polls; there are far more people who consider rabbits to be friends than there are people who consider them to be food.

Great produce options without being exceedingly expensive compared to other grocery stores who seem to be picky about their produce quality. Good variety of obscure ingredients as well, which helps with finishing your shopping list on those fahncy recipes you picked out for the week. The store is fairly small by grocery store standards though. There are many places where the space to move your cart around is limited or straight-up impassable.
