The people that run this store are total scam artists. I was going to an event at the State Fair Expo Center. The sign in their parking lot read "FREE PARKING FOR EVERYONE." So I parked there. When I returned to my vehicle the lot was full. However, the owner and his son were writing down all the licence plate numbers in the lot and they approached me telling me that I owed him $10 for parking there. He said if I didnt pay him he would report me to the cops for parking on private property. I told him that his sign said "free parking for everyone" and he claimed it read for customers only. I wish I would have taken a picture. So basically he wanted to $10 or for me to purchase something from his store. So I bought something to avoid a conflict. Im guessing he pulls this scam for all events at that take place at State Fair. HUGE sign that says FREE PARKING. Be warned. I might have saved a few bucks waiting for the cops to arrive, but I didnt have time to wait. Total jerks! So I go to purchase something and his wife is running the cash register and SHE gives me the business about the lot. I said look Im a customer Im buying something! Geez, total shake down.

Was on an upswing after being bought by a nice family a few years back. New management has big plans, and they dont seem good. The store is going to be moved or shut down, which might be good for space (it was small) but bad for location. The bar offers me nothing another local hole in the wall could, other than location, and Id give that up considering the experience of hanging out with the current owner.

Very friendly! I came in while they were closing down and they stayed open so I could have one beer. Mostly older crowd (40+) on this night, so no prospects for lovin. :P
