Excellent wine selection. Excellent Bourbon, Whiskey, and Single Malt Scotch selection. Excellent nice beer selection You know whats not excellent? The grumpy old men, whom I presume are owners or at the very least senior management. Im a regular there and when I ask them questions the react like I just stuck a knife into the gut. God forbid "Customer service" is part of your job description. Oh, and on days when special beer releases like Bourbon County Stout or Kentucky Breakfast Stout are in season, just forget about asking anything about it. Youll get the stink eye and then get to hear how much of a burden it is to sell these products. "Too many phone calls, too many inquiries. Its total pain in the ass to get this stuff." Suggestion guys: Maybe if its too much a burden to sell a product that flies off the shelf, while making a decent profit, then call your distributor and say, "Guys please dont give me this stuff that everyone wants to buy! Its too much of a pain in the ass to make money hand over fist with this stuff. And its driving way too many customers to my store. Please, please, please dont make me sell this product that everyone wants. Id rather try and sell $300.00 bottles of wine in my wine fridge that havent moved in years. Thats so much easier for me."

I usually dont appreciate being yelled at while shopping at liquor stores (or any other store for that matter). I was trying to find a particular beer when the clerk began yelling at me. "TIMES UP!" At first I didnt realize he was yelling at me because it seemed so absurd. Then he said it again, "TIMES UP LETS GO!". He then scolded me for "shopping around" after closing time. Technically, it was still a few minutes to 9pm but I left in frustration and went to Jewel. They had what I wanted. Overall the place is dingy and disheveled, their selection is poor (they didnt have several things I was looking for and I dont think they were that obscure), their staff is extremely rude, and they close at 9pm. Dont risk being harassed, just go somewhere else.

The store looks like it hasnt been dusted or mopped since the mid-seventies. Goodness knows it has been redecorated since. The selection is horrible. I was looking for very basic stuff, but the only liquor they have any kind of assortment of is in very small bottles and those bottles are very overpriced. Even the beer is considerably higher priced than even Jewel or Dominicks and you dont even get to pay the price on the sign unless youre a "member". No, your price is actually a couple dollars HIGHER than the price on the sign. Whatever. Ill be happy when this place shuts down so I dont have to look at it on the way home from work every day.

The liquor store with more. Extensive selection of Craft Beer! You name it, they probably have it. The shelves are literally overflowing with quality brew. Actually they are so well stocked you may find overflow six packs on the floor. I dont mind that one bit! Simply amazing selection! Friendly & knowledgeable staff. You may see anywhere from 2 - 5 sales guys ready to help you find that one special wine, brew or bottle of booze. Best selection on Libertyville hands down!

Old man long white hair; what an as****e! Walked in with 10 minutes left til close, "times up, grab and go. Lets go!" Ill take my business elsewhere, thank you much. Id rate this place 0 stars if possible due to their poor service even when I asked for help finding something. They just pointed me in the direction that I had spent several minutes already searching.

The selection is amazing -- rare whiskies, wines, and run across the board. The prices are pretty standard but the staff is very helpful; very cool people with great knowledge about where their products are located within the store. 10/10 would purchase again.

In my 5 years of experience of visiting this store, i have found that gold eagle has had everything that we have needed at an affordable price. The helpful staff and the small business charm of the place has drawn me back many-a-time. five stars from me!

Excellent selection of beer, wine, and spirits. Pro tip: they have a water circulated wine chiller that will cool off a bottle of wine in minutes.

Nice blend of local craft flavor, your "standard" beer and some rare craft options. Always stuff on sale as well. I try to make a monthly visit.
