Dont listen to the Haters out there!!! The other guys who are writing a bad review are just jealous idiots!!! Those reviews almost made me not call ArrowSmiths and Im GLAD I didnt listen to those YOYOs!!! Sooo Here my Story....... and its the G-ds honest TRUTH!!! I called Tony for the first time on a Sunday after hours, he did not answer so I hung up the phone and did not leave a message. About 10 minutes later.... to my surprise he called me back. Spoke w/ him for a while....... and the knowledge and experiance this guy has is excellent!!! I was sooo impressed I ended up purchasing 2 guns from him. I also found out he can get just about anything you are looking for, so I did a special order and received another gun in about a week. The only draw back.... which certainly was not Tonys fault is I was on delay w/ the backround check. Total to date Ive purchased 3 weapons and am very very very happy w/ ArrowSmiths service!!! In addition he also does this coating stuff as well (refinishing)..... So he is servicing another one of my guns as well!!! The only down fall is everytime I walk in his shop Im there for an hour minimum and always find another toy to buy!!! The wife hates it, but thats life!!! Thank you Tony and ArrowSmiths for the great service and new friendship!!! Just make the call or stop on by his Shop you wont be dissappointed! SRG (Chicago)

My husband ordered a bow 3 months ago guy said two weeks. After couple weeks my husband called and the guy said he was having problems with hoyt, the bow should be there soon. Well couple weeks later still no bow, husband said can I have my deposit back of 1000.00 and just cancel order, guy said no we cant do that bow is on its way. My husband has been in contact with the guy over text messages for weeks and the bow is never ready, husband finally went to pick it up today and pay the rest, over $800 more and the bow doesnt even have everything he ordered on the bow guy said he had no record of some of the accessories my husband ordered. WORST customer service ever!!! Do not waste your time or money at this shop!!! Shop owner should of done the right thing and refunded my husband weeks ago when he asked!!

Pros: Best expertise among the dealers Ive dealt with. (Badger, Fletcher, WI tactical). This guy really knows the firearms market. I would not doubt his knowledge in archery either Cons: Low inventory, cant get what you want "Right Now." Im so glad this guy talked me out of the rifle I once wanted. Ive had the rifle he sold me for about a year now and Im much happier with it. The wait for this rifle was about 5 months when it was only supposed to be 3-6 weeks. Kept getting excuses like its distributors fault. Once he was downright rude in the way he told me that hell when its in. I guess when you got that much expertise you can talk to customers like that. This store remains a good source of ammo.

I am pretty new to archery and was looking for someone to other than gander mountain to set up and tune my bow and to give me some feedback on form and how to shoot well. Because I didnt buy the bow from him he charged me an arm and a leg for the service, set it up inaccurately and hardly watched me shoot. He was very biased about the bow I was shooting and did a half assed job. I was looking for was someone to pass their knowledge down to me, instead I got little to no help and a big bill. I have since taken my bow to another shop where they explained to me the fundamentals of archery, anchor points, follow through, etc and also tuned my bow more accurately to me. Will not return to Tony.

Worst experience ever. RUDE. LAZY. INCOMPETENT. EXPENSIVE. I went to have my 2 bows restrung and to buy some arrows. Sounds like a simple task correct?!? ... On Monday I brought the bows to his shop and ordered my arrows, he then said it would all be finished on Thursday.... well when it had finally turned Thursday and I arrived he had not even started... So I cancelled the order of arrows... He then said he would be finished on the following Tuesday .... When it turned Tuesday he was still not done.So I took my bows back and I will be taking by business elsewhere... I suggest you do the same and never shop at Arrowsmiths.

worst customer service ever!! Ordered a handgun that Tony had to send for. Called the day it was supposed to arrive and was told it wasnt in yet and that he would call me. But he made me feel like I was being a total pain in the ass! All I did was call him! Waited 2 more days to hear from him, NOTHING. No call to even say it wasnt there. Found the gun ay a different dealer and bought that one. Am writing this review over 1 month after ordering the gun and still never received a call. No way to treat a potential new customer. Am a bow hunter as well and he would have a lifelong buyer. Too bad, Tony

Id give 0 if possible. Went in to look at a bow for my girlfriend and am a loyal Hoyt archer and she liked the idea of shooting the same brand. Went in and all he did was talk about how he was trained by a professional archer, how hes sooo good at shooting, then had the audacity to talk to me and correct me about everything I brought up. Ive been an avid archer for 12 years and dont consider myself a professional by any measure. He just downright pissed off me and my family and we took our service to another shop and bought her a bow there the same day haha

Not a very good experience. I called to get a price on installing night sights for my service pistol and he flat out declined me because I didnt purchase the pistol or sights there. Not a good way to do business or get business. I have been looking at using new gun shops in the area and it has been made very clear that I will not be using Arrowsmiths ever. His loss my gain, I will be using Dam Road Guns exclusively from here on out. They had no problem installing my sights I bought else where along with the pistol I purchased else where.

Wow, Tony is a great asset you can reply on when you are looking to purchase a bow or gun. Ive bought both from him! Arrowsmiths is definately a place where you can go to speak with an expert and check out a wide assortment of products. The shop is stuffed, no, overstuffed with gear. Tony is one of those guys that loves his sports and really is happy to share his knowledge, knowledge gained from the FIELD! I certainly will be headed back when I need advice or a new toy. The guy knows his stuff.

Went looking for archery gear because I like to support local brick & mortar when possible. Archery side is a mess, firearm side is clean and organized. Looks like they dont do much archery business. Asked the guy to see a quiver - he hands it to me, tells me its a right hand (when its clearly a lefty), and was very rude in general. Didnt seem like they wanted to give me the time of day. No worries, I will support other stores and tell all my buddies the same. Do not shop here!
