I took the day off of work and visited this dealer 2/28 from Illinois (2.5 Hour drive) with my fiancé and a family member in hopes that I would trade our SUV in and get a good deal on a nice looking used 2014 jeep Sahara polar that was posted on the website. When we arrived, we sat down with the sales guy and exchanged some minor information. I asked him for a test drive and we proceeded with the test drive. After the test drive, I mentioned to the sales person if there was any room to work on the price of the vehicle which he quickly told me his manager was very firm on the price and he didnt even make an attempt to work with me. We spoke about our trade in and after they checked our trade in, the sales guy came back with an offer on the trade in but no price drop. I had decided to walk away from the deal but after the sales guy disappeared a couple times to get my keys from the trade in, he finally decided to bring back his so called manager which proceeded to give me a story about the car being priced perfectly and he wasnt dropping the price, not even $1!!. Now the jeep we are talking about here is a 2014 used jeep polar edition that had been sitting and continues to sit on their lot for 240 DAYS!! thats 8 months!!!. How is this vehicle priced correctly when its been sitting on the lot for 8 months!!. The manager had the audacity to tell me that the weather is going to get warmer outside and that it will sell. well, I am not sure if he was aware but 8 months ago it was warm outside and it sure didnt sell. He sat there and asked me why I would drive for 2.5 hrs out of my way to go see that jeep. Well its not that I was just window shopping and wanted to waste my time, I drove there because I was ready to purchase and their attitude and treatment of a potential customer like myself was just unacceptable. I have never been to a dealer with such terrible customer service. They would not work with me one bit and that is just so disappointing. To make things worse, I got a call from them the next day while I was at work 2.5hrs away and they wanted to drop the price down $900. That I took as an insult because there was no reason why they could not have offered me that while I was at the dealer. I decided to stop pursuing this vehicle and just this past Friday, I purchased a brand new jeep wrangler unlimited sahara at Dupage Jeep in Glendale heights IL which was 2 miles down the road from work with every option in the book for just $1000 more than that used 20014 I was pursuing so much. Thank you Summit automotive for allowing me to realize what a waste of time it was for me to drive 2.5 hrs and receive horrible service when there was a fantastic jeep dealer down the street from my job that knows how to treat their customers and work with them.

Our vehicle was fine and experiencing ZERO problems when I took it in for an oil change in mid-July. Afterward, the car started bucking and stalling terribly, so my husband looked under the hood to find that one of the hoses had been damaged when the air filter was checked during the oil change (it had to have been then as it was FINE before I took it in). Took the car back to Summit where they denied that they were responsible for the problem...then tried to tell me that they could fix it if only I would order $100.00 worth of parts. We were set to leave on a family vacation in two days (which is why I took the car in for service in the first place) and they further stated that they didnt think I should drive it on our trip. ..and they couldnt possibly do anything to fix the situation THEY created before the next week (three days AFTER we were supposed to leave). They could see how upset I was and how limited my knowledge of cars was and I really believe they chose to exploit that in order to get me to agree to costly repairs for a problem that THEY were responsible for. They were not fazed in the slightest when they saw how upset I was...just kind of a "oh well, too bad" sort of attitude. Would rather try to fix the car myself than to take it back to Summit. They should have fixed the damage they caused when they checked the air filter, plain and simple.

I have purchased Vehicles from Mike Burg in the past and have always felt I received a very fair price, not to mention the superior quality of service they provide. The buying experience was great (something I have grown to dislike over the years). Mike was not there the day I stopped, so I was referred to Brett and he did such a great job in showing me the two vehicles I wanted to see. It was a rather cold day, so he brought them inside to go over the features etc. I had them giving me all of the information and what vehicles where available with the features I wanted and at a price that was reasonable. Well after making my decision we found out the vehicle I wanted was sold, so once again they where going above and beyond to make the sale..well within an hour they had exactly what I wanted located and the deal was made!! We picked up the vehicle today and again the quality of service and the time spent going over every detail of the car was fantastic to say the least. All of the paperwork was ready and we where on our way with a fabulous new vehicle...Thanks Guys (and Nancy) Sandi

My experience....... purchased a used 2014 chevy silverado ltz. Loaded up the my chevy app and it says 3 safety recalls they sold me a vehicle with possible danger to my family. The recalls are an airbag, seat belt, and 4 wheel drive. The recalls were before they even inspected the truck. Tom (the sales man) states that they are not a chevy dealer and are not obligated to check for recalls. I had them install a spray in bed liner and it came back with superficial scratching and over spray on my rear bumper (which they did take care of with neumerous calls)The frame is rusted pretty significantly and asked about the 3 yrs/36000 miles anti corrosion of factory warranty they told my wife and I, that we had, doesnt exist anymore... sad part is they gave me a detailed sheet that said they inspected this truck with a 130 point inspection. At least they changed the oil, air filter was dirty as could be They are no better than any other used car sales. I love the truck, hate they do not stand behind their sales. Good job used cars sales.

Summit Automotive is one of the best dealerships Ive dealt with, I purchased a dually Silverado 3500 from them over a year ago, I am from Washington state and flew into Milwaukee airport to come and pick up the truck (airport is over an hour of driving one way from the dealership), they sent a guy to pick me up for free! On top of that they worked with me when I asked if theres any room to drop the price a bit, even though the asking price was worth coming all the way from Washington state. Chris was the salesman I was speaking to on the phone numerous times before I decided to go ahead with the purchase, each time I spoke with him he answered all the questions I had, and I had a lot of questions as I could see the truck only through pictures. When I came to pick up the truck everything was exactly as he described. Took me only a little over an hour to get all the paperwork taken care of and we were on our way. Great dealership, awesome people to deal with!
