I work for a VW dealership in the area and was looking at getting an older VW since they are quite rare due to the high demand. I purchased a fully loaded 2009 VW Passat Komfort from this dealership on St. Patricks Day. The car was supposedly inspected and had a clean CarFax. 4 hours after taking delivery of the car, the engine light came on. Oil was leaking from under the car, and it smelled like something was burning. Took the car back the same night, after hours. Just how I wanted to spend my St. Patricks Day. They would not let me out of the deal, which was to be expected. Turns out they needed to replace the PCV Valve and rear main seal. How could they miss that? So they kept the Passat for four days and I got it back the following week. Decided to take it on a test drive before I left. What a mistake that was. The engine light came back on, and the car was almost seizuring down the road. Firstly, the receptionist (Scott?) at the time told me that the mechanic was not taking responsibility because it had ran fine earlier that day. Really? After I brought up the fact numerous times that I had only been gone 10 minutes maximum, the actual excuse finally surfaced. The mechanic (Nick) had attempted to replace the ignition coils, but did not replace them all. Why have someone working on cars that doesnt know what hes doing?? Instead of towing it back to service and saving the engine strain, I was told to drive it back to the dealership. Limped it back, after 5+ phone calls back and forth. Ridiculous. Add another day without the car. The dealership paid for all the cost, so that was the only saving grace. I was actually going to give them a 3/5 for that reason. However, I now discovered that the car now has a transmission leak. Not going back to them. Please people, do not purchase from this group. I NEVER once even got a simple thank you for my purchase, even before all these issues. No follow-up calls or anything. Besides that, I NEVER once was "allowed" to speak to Brandon until the very last day when the ignition coils failed, despite my repeated requests. He "was out of town and the employees were just super stressed out". What kind of dealership sells and provides service like this? I am going to look into whatever legal resource is available to me at this point, starting today. Doubtful that will be successful. I await the common snarky response to low-score posts like this. --I didnt purchase it months ago? I purchased it less than a month ago. Also, it doesnt have over 100K miles on it. It has 91K. I bought the car on 3/17. I didnt get it back until 3/21. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and half of Monday= 3.5 days. Add in another one for the ignition coils= 4.5. Please, at least be honest to future customers reading this. I do not wish to have your "mechanic" work on my vehicle further. Thanks- it is a word-.

We purchased a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix in November 2014. The window sticker said it had been inspected and no issues were found. He claimed it was his neighbors and never saw winter. A few weeks later we looked at the oil change sticker and realized the oil should have been changed before we bought it based on miles and odometer reading. Brandon said they looked at the oil and it appeared full and clean. To me it seemed to be an easy fix before its put on the lot to avoid any issues. Well it was changed at no charge. But he wanted my son to do a BBB rating at his shop at the same time. Odd. Then the thermostat was not working an the car, no heat-in the winter. We were aware of this needing attention at purchase and the dealer said theyd replaced for about $200 total with a flush and new antifreeze etc. I just had mine done at a shop for $120. He stood by his price so we took it to NWTC and it was done for $20. During the students inspection of the car they found numerous issues with the front end. Broken sway bar., damaged tie rod end, both wheel bearing were very bad, bad front end bushings and leaking rack and pinion. All told about $600+ in parts alone. I took it for a second opinion at a shop Ive worked with for 25 years and they agreed and said with labor it would be about $1500. When confronted Brandon the first thing he said was when did you buy the car and how many miles were on it. Why didnt you tell them earlier and its 50/50 on drive train only. Not a good start. I said given the oil change issue now this it was pretty clear it was never on the rack to check it over in the first place. He never even asked to put the car on the rack to verify the damage. After some debate and a bit of anger on my part he said if I bought the parts hed provide the labor. I initially agreed but then the next day said I had free labor at NWTC and I didnt want him to work on it. I asked for $550 for parts instead. He didnt agree. Finally I said how much bad will is all this worth because the word is getting around at NWTC already. He finally agreed to $300. So the car then was repaired at NWTC. Bottom line is I trusted him. I should have had it looked at by my shop first. He should have really inspected the car on the rack and repaired or disclosed the front end issues. And changed the oil! Reading other BBB complaints I see a pattern here. As far as Im concerned the issue is resolved in repairs and compensation. However I still want it on record. Randy Borst

I would not buy anything from this used car shop. They are dishonest in my opinion. I spoke with the vary friendly sails man who assured me the car was in excellent condition and that there was nothing wrong with the car as far as he knew. I confirmed this many times explaining that it was about a 400 mile drive one way. He let me know that all they did was some exhaust work and some connecting joints with the steering. Everything else was good and no accidents reported. The pictures and carfax online seemed to back this up. So I got my partner and drove all the way there only to find more rust then should ever be on a 15 year old car let alone this car that was only 5 years old. Enough dog scratches all over the interior to think it was a kennel, a hack job on all the work he said they did including bad welds and to top it all off, the back hatch had a junkyard blue paint number on the inner jam and it did not shut properly. The taillights didn’t even match when you looked at them. I even noticed something wrong when going about 45mph that felt like the ABS system was kicking on or it had a tire misaligned. It was obvious that the car had some rear-end damage and they were either extremely inept mechanics or dishonest and wanted to waist my time. I pointed these things out to him and he just surged and said we didn’t do it. Im posting this in the hope that it saves someone else a trip. This is a quote from this cars description on the listing “ZERO ACCIDENT HISTORY!!!!!!!!! Immaculate condition inside and out! 100% rust free!”. Do not trust this shop as far as you can throw the car your looking at. 1 star only because I cant pick 0.
