Being a fish guy I left CA which had a couple of fish places to WA which seems to deprived of them besides Petco and Petsmart. There were some other shops to which closed down in Yakima according to their responses in media and other news I found. Tri Cities has two but they seem to choose when to be open as the hours do not follow what Google seem to show. So I met a lovely girl in the fish department who asked questions right off the bat that shows she knows fish. I forget her name so she was blond and about 5 4" inches or so with a butterfly ring of sorts, give her a raise as smart fish people are rare. She caught the fish safely and was talkative as well while explaining how special work in the fish department. I went there yesterday and will be back tomorrow to solve my top swimmer issues in my 135 gallon. I will say this as I hope the Petsmart managers read these. Please stop ordering Trinidad Plecos as they grow way larger than any tank most people actually keep and Sail Fin Plecos are far prettier as a substitute for large plecos. People are not really smart enough to realize this issues and as result have no where to get rid of them but into rivers or kill them. Yes they are cheap, but sell the common customer a Bristle Nose Pleco instead as they stay 4-5 inches and many tanks can keep them. I am being serious about this as I see to many pet shops sell the common pleco to which is actually called a Trinidad Pleco. The 5 stars is for you skilled and knowledgeable girl in the fish department.

Very happy to be a Petsmart customer. If you are looking for a healthy pet go to Petsmart Not Petco. went there when i was looking for a Leopard Gecko, and none of their Leopard Geckos were healthy, so how do we know that their other animals are healthy, And their excuse was that they had so many of them and that there was competition going on, but why did they order so many of them? there is no excuse to have a unhealthy animal. Plus Crickets are alot cheaper in Petsmart If you are looking for a reptile, look for Shelby, she owns so many Leopard Geckos, and she will go out of her way to make you Reptile Experience a good one. If she is not there ask someone for her, and come back when ever shes there.

My maltese needed grooming took her in and when I picked her up the groomer said theyd offer me a discount since they cut my dogs ear. I ended up paying $22 instead of $56. My poor dog was completely naked and when we got home I noticed small cuts around both her ears. Id rather not save money and save my dog the suffering. Never going back. If anyone in Yakima knows of any trust worthy groomers let me know.

This store has really gone downhill in the past six months. First the best dog trainer in Yakima moved away (or so I heard). Next they replace him with a dog trainer that is barely worthy of the title. Then Freddy quit and he had the best customer service. Honestly those two are the reason I shopped at petsmart and not walmart but I think Ill go with the store that charges less now.....

Basic bath for a Rough Jack Russell (13 lbs) is 18.99 but they will charge $3.00 more on Fri, Sat, Sun. Also they never trim the dew claws and miss details like trimming the excess hair on the feet. I used to bathe dogs and was required to be more detailed oriented at the Pets mart I worked at.

I take my Siberian husky here for bath and brushing and she absolutely loves it. They are all so good with her. They also helped me when my dog refused to eat her dog food. They recommended a better brand and she loves it. I would recommend Petsmart to anyone!!!!!

I went in to buy some fish and wasnt happy when I had seen that an employee had dropped another customers eel on the floor and picked it up and still gave it to them, poor eel might be dead by tomorrow. I am not happy I wouldnt let someone handle the fish after that.
