This place is pretty unpleasant in the lead-up to Christmas. I went here on Black Friday weekend and there were a lot of people in a fairly tight space. Theres a frantic atmosphere that makes you want not to shop but to promptly leave. Rather than see merchandise tastefully displayed on shelves its stuffed together on, well, racks. I recommend figuring out what you want by visiting a department store like Nordstrom first, then come here and track it down. Service is mediocre if you even get it. People dont bother to ask you how youre doing or if youre finding everything. Youre on your own. Selection is limited to whatever got left over from regular Nordstrom, which means youre somewhat unlikely to find exactly what you want. This is definitely true in mens. The stuff they sell is often tacky, unfortunately. I recommend thinking carefully before buying things here - dont get it just because its a deal. If youre interested in designer items, save up and wait for a sale at regular Nordstrom. Youll get fewer items for the money but theyll be exactly what you want. If youre trying to save money but still want high quality clothes, visit an outlet store (for example, J Crew Factory Store); youll find a better selection at lower prices. I was fortunate to find a stunning Michael Kors coat, which looks fabulous and works great in the spring and fall. It was around $120, which isnt too bad. The premise of Nordstrom Rack is to have designer items at lower prices than Nordstrom. Even this doesnt seem to be true. Items are still quite expensive. On Black Friday weekend the only discount they offered was 30% off clearance items - no extra discount on everything else.

I made a Hautelook return today, and the cashier who processed the return refunded me for the wrong item. She was rushing and didnt even compare the item tags to the receipt (which only had two items listed), and I ended up with a refund for the lower priced item. When I realized what happened after the fact, I called Nordstrom Rack customer support who then transferred me to the store. The store answered and then immediately hung up. Ive been trying to call back but the line has been busy on every attempt. Ive called the store 13 times, and I cant get through to speak with anyone. They are closing soon and I dont have time to go back to the store today. This is ridiculous.

While it does have great deals the staff was not very pleasant. I found multiple pairs of the same pants in numerous sizes including smaller and larger sizes on an under 25 rack. When I thought I was rung up wrong because they werent under 25 the girl sighed rolled her eyes and claimed customers put it there any further explanation was shut down by her by her stating the price again followed by "so do you still want them or not?" As mentioned before there were numerous large and small sizes of the pants so it was just an obvious mistake on the stockers part but the attitude given was unpleasant, needless to say given her attitude I didnt buy the pants.

This store doesnt sell slacks after 7pm, but the store is open until 9.30. I found some pants and asked for assistance in marking them so they can be hemmed and the lady laughed and said the tailor left at 7 and no one could help me. Nordstrom has gone down hill. I worked there in college in both rack and regular stores and was trained on how to mark slacks if needed to. The attitude in the store sucks. Restrooms are always dirty. I did ask around and I heard that the southcenter rack is known for bad customer service. Ill take the blame for trying to save a couple of bucks by shopping at the Rack, but $90 slacks and $10 to hem isnt that cheap.

I really enjoy shopping here. The selection is not bad and you can really find some incredible designer items if you spend some time here and look. Depending on the time you shop though, the store can become a little disorganized. But that it not their fault. Its usually rude customers that just throw clothes on the floor after they look at them. The sales ladies here have been very friendly and helpful to me over the years. I always stop by when Im in the area.

Ever heard the term "combat shopping"? Thats what goes on here. Everyone is disrespectful, including but definitely not limited to the employees. Nothing seems all that organized while giving the appearance that it is. Ill come back for the deals, but Ill be doing so mentally prepared for the chaos and rudeness.

This the best Nordstrom Rack in the whole Seattle area. The others are dull and dead, while this one has a wall of windows at the entrance which brighten up the store when it is sunny. Employees are helpful and smile a lot! Highly recommend!

Slightly lower quality dress clothes for solid prices. Mens pants looked to range from 28" to 42". Wouldnt mind if the shoes were a little cheaper - usually about par or slightly more expensive than Amazon.
