Favorite book store in all of Seattle. It feels like a nice private library inside, and I like the staff, who are helpful and witty. This bookstore focuses on quality--nice editions, publishing houses, etc. Go for the skillful curation, not that blockbuster action novel your uncle told you about. I usually go in for classic French or Russian lit but end up leaving with a stack of other books as well!

I am fortunate to live within walking distance of this incredible book store. And I frequent it often! It a beautiful store with a friendly owner and a very well curated collection of books. I always find something new or interesting when I come here. And have bought many of my favorite books from this store. I will happily patron it for as long as I can and recommend it to any book lovers in the area.

Good condition books, but no bargains. Not much selection either. But then when trying to sell a book, I saw why the selection sucked. I brought in a brand new NY times bestseller, that isnt even in paperback yet, and they wouldnt take it because it wasnt a worn paperback. absolutely no research on the book itself. Dont think Im gonna waste my time browsing there anymore. I left feeling condescended.

I love this little secondhand bookstore. I found it several months ago, and Ive been buying books ever since. Im the type of person that prefers reading books on paper, rather than ebooks, but books can be rather expensive if you buy them new. This is a great solution for me! I come maybe once a month to check out the books. Staff is always very friendly.

On a recent visit to seattle, i wanted a book for the plane ride home. I arrived 15 min before opening to be chased out by the owner or an employee even though the door was open. Went to Elliott Bay Books instead where they actually wanted my business.

This is the best used bookstore in Seattle! The selection is outstanding, from academic to entertainment--they keep a great stock. The ambiance is perfect. I love passing time in the dense stacks and finding a new hidden gem.
